Avantgarde look grill for late 124 series

I have tried to find one of these avantgarde look grilles for a late 124 series coupe but have had no luck after two hours of finger bashing !!

I came across a link on this site some weeks back but can't find now !!

Can anyone send me a link to a site or seller who has this item in stock ??

Ahh, that's because you're one of those rare people who can spell "avantgarde" correctly, however I think it's "grill" rather than "grille"

Can anyone send me a link to a site or seller who has this item in stock ??

I just searched the forum and I got some links but they weren't a huge amount of use.

This guy has been recommended a few times on this forum: http://www.matrixcar.de/

Some of the members have bought stuff from him and it's been delivered on time/good quality items etc.

If it were me getting a grill I'd consider buying the oem W210 avantgarde grill, it can be cut to shape to fit a w124 facelift I imagine, will cost about £100 all-in (maybe less) and it'd be a high quality oem item. If you want any part numbers etc let me know.

Try matrixcar , I got one from them and the quality is just as good as the original standard grille and it only cost £34.

got on to the matrixcar.de website and selected english language.

all went well while searching and selecting 600 style grill.

when it came to ordering and paying for the item the website went in to German mode.....and as my German is limited to Guten Tag I bailed out..not sure what they were asking me for etc.

I think the price was around 120 euros..how long do they take to send an item and do you you think a phone call would be a better option ??

I've just had the same problem with trying to buy a set of chrome speedo rings from powerstyling - which is the same person as matrixcar.

No german spoken at my house either - got round it with www.freetranslation.com - not perfect but gives you an idea of whats being said, just cut and paste into the box.

couldn't work out his ebay checkout, it sends you to an auctionweb checkout (all in german). in the end emailed him and asked for his email address that his paypal account is held at and did it manually.

That was about a week ago, and the rings haven't arrived yet, but i live in hope !
