Alfa Suds are cool. I had two of them (before they disolved) and they sound great and cornered far better than most modern cars.

it seems we had more or less similar cars:D , many years ago I had also a Alfasud 1.5 ti Q.V. (105hp), as you said cornering capability were remarkable.

...than I passed to an Ibiza, than a M5E34 than the W202 (like you:) ) and today on a W203 (again like you:) )

Bristol 404: the front is on the wrong thread. The rear's ok...

I am amazed nobody has posted the current SL, a truly gorgeous design.
Sad if only sports cars are rated as beautiful. IMO the current C class, E class prior to the facelift and 220 series S class are all beautiful saloons. Wonderful lines from the legendary Bruno Sacco -sadly now retired.

And coupes, what equals a CLK or the old model CL? I attach an old favourite of mine.

tee hee it's Alfa

The suds (especially the Sprint) were great looking cars but........

not much originality in car design these days is there?

Since the first "jelly mould cars" like the Sierra and the awful Audi 100 things kinda went downhill

well, the chinese are trying to be original... but different doesn't mean better. I do not recommend googling for images of the latest motorshow (end of 2006) as your eyes will hurt afterwards. :D

For those of you too young to have seen an Alfa sud (before they dissolved) here is a very old photo of my first Sud 1.5 Super. It had a 4 cylinder flat four boxer engine, inboard brakes ie. next to the engine rather than at the wheels, a wonderful engine noise and exhaust note, could thrash almost anything on a bendy road:D

A late TI model sud. (my second Sud was this colour but the SC model)

The NSX is very nice, the Lambo is scary rather than beautiful (IMHO!), I know its not a commonly held view but I don't get the e type, its something to do with its wheels being too inset.

No, I'm still with the 288!

Hey! the E-type is over 40 years old you can lose the narrow track by fitting 6" wide wirewheels and using 205 tyres, have a look at mine:
I haven't worked out how to upload photos so you'll to click the links;
