Stats - I have a Becker Silverstone 2630 10 cd changer - I paid £70 for it - appears to be working - but not compatible with my head unit so dont have proof - was told by seller perfect working condition.
sounds like we have similar units, mine is a Freelander one and apparently you need the dedicated CD changer which is available (I think the Philips one which was installed in the freelander works) although it's not a problem for me as I had no intention of fitting one. I couldn't find anywhere sensible to locate the unit with easy access, besides which I seldom decide what I want to listen to in the car until about 30 seconds before walking out the door and never leave CDs in the car in case I want to listen to them indoors

Andy - btw when i installed mine i followed the instructions for setting it up - drove fwd then back ... maual said direction indicator will change - mine didnt. Checked all the connections couldnt fix it so carried on and all seems to be working ok - just wondered if you had the same with yours ?
The setup on mine was fully automatic - just installed it then followed the onscreen prompt for calibration which involved driving about 400 yards - no entering of tyre sizes etc so I'm guessing the unit was working off satellite positioning,
As for the direction indicator, I've never used it, I leave the compass on and that reacts immediately if I reverse, however the unit can get a bit confused if I reverse around a corner and then drive off forwards and it can take a few streets before it resets itself
