Dont want to bore you with all the details - but recently noticed that Audi drivers seem to be complete no&s. Now maybe that is the wrong way around - all the no&s seem to be driving Audis.

It can only be a matter of days until Clarkson buys one then...
Spoilt child like Mr Clarkson being the biggest no&s of them all...
Oh I how I loved the "old " Top Gear, adults like Wilson.....

I think Darling and Brown probably agree with you on this sentiment.

Would that be Quentin Wilson, the TV personality & convicted car clocker to whom you are referring?

No, It's definitely Quentin.

Oi, you lot! We're not all Thrusting young sales executives in 1.9TDi A4/A3s you know. And besides, I wouldn't care anyway because I would officially be driving the fastest car on the roads in any case.

But you're right. I do agree that, on the whole, Audi drivers have, erm, taken over the mantle from BMW.

I like to promote the brand with my impeccable driving manners :)

However, I must own up tovembarrassing an E-class at some lights earlier  Was it the OP? :)

I'm not in a good postion for this thread with currently being a Audi and BMW household :(

I think Clarksons initial rant was more along the lines that the appaling driving historically reserved for BMW M3 drivers was now the bastion of the Audi RS4 owner. Have you ever seen a well driven RS4?...especially the estate or Avant or Touring or whatever it is Audi call it in the attempt to give the brand some kind of lifestyle image.....I find they're all driven by middle aged men with a penchant for mountain biking & Oakley sunglasses.

I would have to agree that A8's aren't included in the above.

Recently, at a garden centre, I saw a small child with his doting grandparents. A couple in their seventies, I'd guess, judging by their dress and general demeanour. They left the place at the same time as us, and got into a S8 (V10 ), and burbled off down the road at the speed of pensioners...

Did look cool though :)

Funny one this as I've noticed that Audi drivers are a tad aggressive but I will say that it's almost always A3 drivers.

However, the car driver that I have noticed to be most irritating over the last year or two is the SEAT owner. Nearly everytime I get cut up in town it's a SEAT, rarely troubled by one on the motorway though.

People do tend to do a double-take when they see an old-man style A8 negotiating a (private, empty) roundabout sideways.

I have got to get the suspension sorted, it's got a penchant of launching the car skywards whenever brisk acceleration is produced on steep roads/odd camber!

I've been debating putting the correct badging on the back, but somehow I really love the notion of the largest engine version in the range being debadged... The polar opposite of all these "Sportline" poverty-spec diesels and "M" 318i's.

It's much like the chap on Pistonheads who has stuck a 316 badge on his 328i.... Nice!

Ohhhh yes, I do like that video. I was rather basing my A8 enthusiasm around The Transporter 2, however I am equally taken with that one... Need to do some lowering :)

No need to lower anything. Compared to 6.3, 4.2 is pretty low. :D

I didn't think Audi's did that, usually a RWD motor is best for being a hooligan :D

Aye, I get what you mean, there was a fella in a BMW magazine that had a E39 M5 and had it badged a 520. He forgot to remove the 4 exhausts sticking out the back though
