Bently Arnarge, paint correction+detail (lots of pics)

i detailed it by hand last year and it looked brilliant, still had some swirls but it was the best i could do then. went and picked it up yesterday and was horriffied by the state of the paint. i then later found out it had been through a car wash twice and had been to a body shop and they had moped it and covered it in holograms.

so here we go with some pics.

it was then glazed sealed then waxed.
and the final result

i would say i got rid of 95% of the swirls and improved some of the scratches. took a hell of a lot of effort and i am now completly pooped lol

Out of interest would you say that the Bentley paint finish was any better than MB?

on older ones it pretty much the same on the newer mercedes you cant get the paint work anywhere near as good as this cos lot of the panels are plastic.

How many hours did it take?

To prepare my father's car for sale I; washed, rinsed, dried, T-cut twice, polished, waxed and cleaned the inside. This in all took me 6 hours.......tiring stuff.

You can come and do mine. One thing you notice with the Bentley paint, in particular the older ones, is the lack of orange peel.

gorgeous car a bit of time and effort can make the difference i never use car washes i use to work in 24hr garage and seen some serious things from them car washes one time the brush wash came right down a smashed the windscreen

i used collinite 476 and dodo purple haze waxes. i do now have a £150 swissvax wax and dodo juice supernatural.

and the grass verge is now completly back top how it should be lol

I keep hearing that this Collinite 476 is detergent proof...

What exactly does that mean?...

Does it mean that it wont come off when washing it subsequently with car shampoo??

How does it compare to Harley Wax?

i dont exactly what it mean but all collinite waxes are desiged to be more focused on long lasting protection and restisting chemicals than the show waxes.
collinite wxes will easily resist a car that is washed with washing up liquid or a very strong wash shampoo.
all waxes are fine to be washed with normal car shampoo
