What are the best cutting and polishing pads to use when applying megs #80 and #83 for removal of heavy scratches etc.

I have a bmw that has a bonnet that has been put through automatic car washes and washed with stiff brushes at jet washes etc. Quite bad swirls etc that im hoping to remove with the 2 polishes above.

I have a set of megs cutting/polishing/finishing pads but i find these arent exactly doing the best job possible.

Any recommendations?

I was hoping to see if there was any other pads that i might be able to use with my current polish which im finding is working quite well but i dont think the megs pads that i have do the polish justice and exploit its potential fully.

Any suggestions on the likes of Lake Country or Sonus pads?

Also looking to get a couple of 4" spot pads to get rid of a couple of bad scratches courtesy of some idiot in the local car park that thought they could use the side of my car as a measure to make sure they got in the space properly and has ran their bumper down the entire side of my drivers door. Whats the best i should look for for these?

Im using the kestral das-6 with the current pads and polish if thats any help.

Cheers

Mequiars do 2 types of wool pads that are supposed to be aggressive.

Looking at cleanyourcars website is there any 4" foam spot pads that would be ideal?

Not really wanting to go down the wool pad route as they can be a bit too agressive with some compounds.
