Any ideas ? I want to replace my black sports mats at the front (has grey beading around it). Also does anyone know if the door footplates can be replaced ? Mine are just boring black plastic ones.

I bought some from AutoStyle for a BMW 5 series. I went for their best quality ("executive" from memory) and they were £50 for four inc. p&p. They fitted perfectly and came with the correct clips to make use of the floor-mounted sockets put in at the factory for BMW mats.
Their quality was exactly equal to the set I bought for my MB, which were £100 for four.

Excellent, thanks Philip - it was the "Premier" ones I was looking at. I've had some EBay cheapies for the last year which are OK ... but they move around a bit, and are starting to wear already.

Good choice, they were in the BMW for 4 years and 80,000 miles before going on with the car to the new owner. Vacuumed up beautifully for the sale.
I had black - I always think light coloured mats are going to look grubby pretty quickly.

BMW carpet mats are much more expensive compared to MB.

I got OEM 129 mats about a year ago from MB Edgware Road. They were black with AMG logo and from memory cost about £65.

You can probably still get the AMG mats even if the ordinary oem ones aren't available, I will check my brochures and catalogues for the part numbers. AMG are available in black only.
AMG mats are standard black velour OEM mats with AMG stitched in silver in the corners. The set of mats for my car came to about £70 (plus the tunnel mat which was another £20

I want to get a tunnel mat, I've got the standard ribbed light grey mats in the W203. I was thinking about changing my mats tot he velour ones. Just looking at Shudes pic of the AMG ones they look great too, however as stated they only come in black (or dark charcoal!)
i. how do you think the darker AMG mats would look with a light grey interior (orion grey). They would certainly wear better!

I wouldn't do it (although my 129 interior is black leather/anthracite carpet, so the colour would be OK!).
The AMG logo is practically under the seat once fitted so they just looks like really smart mats. If you really don't like the logos you could paint them dark grey! I don't know if '129 mats are still available so if you want quality OEM mats at a good price you may not get any choice.BTB 500 said:

I have AMG mats in mine but then it does have the AMG bodykit.

Thanks Shude. I went to my local dealer this morning and I ordered a set of the OEM black velour mats (better than nothing) - price I was quoted was £39.81 plus VAT.
