Hi

a) This is good : -

DVB Logic Digital TV tuner system for Comand 2.0 / Comand 2.0 MOPF | TV retrofit | Mercedes Retrofits | Comand Online Ltd

It is controlled from the COMAND screen (although includes a remote control to help with set-up)

b) You don't need wiring diagrams, just use the power feed to the COMAND with an appropriate fuse

c) Comand firmware updates available here -

Model Year 01 Firmware Update for COMAND 2.0 & 2.5 | Service Update Disks | Firmware & Cradle Updates | Mercedes Retrofits | Comand Online Ltd

- do not use a copied disk for this as the laser's aren't great in COMAND 2.0 and you don't want a disk read error in the middle of a firmware update.

Sadly the comand needs something connected that it recognises as a Mercedes tv tuner (there is a little control network between tv tuner and comand) which means you are very limited in your choice.
There used to be little video input boxes but I haven't seen them for a while and they were expensive and just gave you a video input to the comand when you pressed the tv button - you could then connect a cheaper tv tuner to that

Do be aware that digital tv in a car isn't perfect!!

i see
ok how about to have used w220 tv tuner because w220 has the same tuner till 2002 or 2003 >> not sure
so can w220 tuner works on my comand
thank u so much richard

Yes you could use the appropriate w220 tuner and piggy back a digital tuner on its aux input connections and select us on the comand tv setting
You would need a wiring loom of course. Note the older tuners have a special connector for the aux inputs. Newer have RCA connectors for video, left, right audio
You'd have to run IR sensor for the remote control

To connect up an external AV device (i.e your DVB tv tuner) to COMAND 2.0 (cd based comand) that doesnt have the MB Analogue TV tuner you need a 'multimedia' adapter which fools the COMAND into thinking it has TV tuner and thus enabling it to display whatever comes in on the video input. On comand 2.0 the video is RGB (not composite like on later comands), and it connects in mostly on the C1 connector, which is the smallest square connector on the back of the COMAND.
Digital Freeview Scart Receivers are readily available (Roadstar, Konig, Denver, Futuristix, Metronic etc) which plug directly into the Multimedia Adapter scart input. I have a Roadstar DVBT2112 which comes with a 12v car socket lead and a magmount aerial, making digital tv installation a viable and relatively easy project.
I guess you could utilise the appropriate w220 tuner as the multimedia interface, following Richard's wiring instructions.
Good luck.

That was what I was referring to with : -

"There used to be little video input boxes but I haven't seen them for a while and they were expensive and just gave you a video input to the comand when you pressed the tv button - you could then connect a cheaper tv tuner to that"

Cheers
