Just a heads up for anyone looking for a nice chrismas present!

We are looking to get a new second car (possibly an A class) and so I have been browsing round the internet broking sites. It seems there are some stonking discounts to be had on new mercedes cars. These guys are the best I have found so far, with over 20% discount on RRP on many models!

Unfortunately the cars need to be registered by 31st Dec. We are going away on Wednedsay for christmas and new year so it looks as if I may miss out. Hopefully the deals will carry on into the new year.

that's because Mercedes sales are significantlydown this year ..

Doesnt seem to worry the main dealer, the best he would give me was 6%! I was going to go for a nearly new, but at these prices I may as well get a new one.

They'll have trouble finding cars fella, its the same discount we get and its part of the diesel acceleration campaign, the major discounts are on the diesels, petrols dont quite get as much, its on E class, C class and A class motors but its a bit late now unfortunately :( anything remaining now thats eligble for the deal is seriously high spec'd as these prices have now been around over a month so all the standard/small spec cars have gone like hot cakes, If I'd have joined the forum earlier I'd have let you all know :( I actually just ordered my own merc today on the end of year registration deal but I went for the petrol sport model as opposed to the diesel and even then I still got a hefty discount of a good few grand, If anyones ever on the lookout for a new motor and needs any discounts give me a shout and Ill get a few prices together, it doesnt matter what make or model, anything you like just as long as its not pink with yellow spots :p 90% of the time, it works out cheaper to buy brand new as opposed to nearly new if you get a discount offered from a broker whether its an outright purchase or financed, either way

We managed to get one!

A170 classic SE with Polar silver metallic, Easy vario seating and reach adjustable steering wheel (these were the options we wanted). Retail price = £16529, we pay £13177 including vat, delivery and car tax.

The car is supplied by a UK main dealer (i am not supposed to say who) and will be delivered early Jan. I'd say this is a pretty good deal.

Yes, we picked a registration plate for it this morning. It is currently in transit from the factory.

The deal still stands on all A, C and E classes but you will have to be quick and sort out the finance yourself.

I was quite tempted by this one too : C320CDI avantgarde auto retail = £31044 deal price= £26567 which is a saving of £4477! but the other half would kill me!

Yes but all cars have to be registered before the end of the month to be eligble for the discounts thats how i got my c class, £25449.72 list, cost to me was £21120.12, saved over 4 grand but the big deals to be had were on diesels where savings were closer to 7/8 grand but i was insitant on a petrol. You'll find it VERY hard to get hold of a low spec C or E class out there thats available on the deal as they've all gone and the A class's are running low too, Im not sure if theres even any 150's left. And trust me on this robbo, theres only one dealership in the country able to offer those prices and so if its not one of their stock cars people are pretty stuck :( Ill keep you all uptodate of new discounts available on mercs because its part of my job and selling cars is what i do full time!

There were only 3 A170s left including ours so thats two now. we are paying in full in the last couple of days of December to be eligible for the discount. The car will be registered in December.

As an Idea, theres no E220's left, no E280's without extra spec, no sports coupes, and no c class saloons without huge spec, E320's are available but not standard cars. A class's are available but in limited numbers

new e 350

got mine last friday £4,900 off list, spec is very high tho,so i can believe there's no standard cars about, upside is i got plenty of toys to play with :)

That seems like an absolute bargain!!

My mum got a new car through this company drive the deal and I can recommend them. The car was sourced through a UK VW dealer at a saving of 18% on a Golf and delivered to her door.If she had gone to a VW stealership herself she would of been lucky to have walked out with a free set of matts !
More Mercedes deals will surley come due to excess capacity as EU E-class sales are down 28% and outsold by the both the BMW 5-series and Audi A6 and the C-class is outsold by the 3-series and A4.
It's not that long ago that Mercedes ranked 3rd in JD powers and the top European. For example 1997/8 C-classes where just about the most reliable cars made at that point.
Those who dismiss the results of the current surveys might like to reflect on why they are so feeble minded that they cannot see the downward trend Mercedes has taken.

Bargain! You should see the US prices - we get soooo ripped off.

I don't think I've ever come across anything that costs more in dollars than we pay in pounds - most is cheaper still.

It's shocking what we put up with as a nation - and anything to do with cars seems like the easiest target for exploitation - car prices, fuel duty, planned additional congestion charging zones and toll roads, etc. No other nation would stand for it!!

If you Think MB dealers are bad to deal with ,Try Audi, they could not give a S...
Probably the most unhelpful outfit I have ever come across.

With working day in day out with dealerships of all makes and models I tend to find:

Mercedes dealers are fine up until getting your money then they go downhill
Audi it depends upon the individual dealer, some are great, some dont even answer the phone
Land rover = absolute disgrace, terribly trained and unsure of product knowledge
BMW dealers put on a nice happy front and make it seem like you're getting great discounts and they do have nice customer services etc but actually you're being screwed over in comparison to what they could genuinely give you off retail price
Peugeot are actually really good
citroen are reasonable
volvo and jaguar are terrible, very abrupt and look down on most people
mitsubishi, renault and bentley are all good

As mentioned it is a bit of a generalisation but we do use various suppliers of each manufacturer.

Anyway... lol back to topic, the 18% discount on the golf is a very good price, to find good VW discounts isnt easy, usually you'd be looking at around 10% on VW's unless theres a sales acceleration campaign running

how come no deals on the CLS?

Or... It is a very nice vehicle that is selling like hot cakes.

it's butt beautiful

I saw one on the week-end in Cubanite Silver and sunset red nappa leather interior. Stunning. Want one. Test driving one (320 CDi) in the New Year. VERY EXPENSIVE for an E class in drag.
