Big Discounts on New Mercedes

theres very little about as far as discounts are concerned for the CLS's, realistically you're only looking at around 1.5% which is about £600 off list on a 320CDI. Not much of a discount considering they're £40K+!!!

it's butt beautiful

I saw one on the week-end in Cubanite Silver and sunset red nappa leather interior. Stunning. Want one. Test driving one (320 CDi) in the New Year. VERY EXPENSIVE for an E class in drag.

:D Stop making excuses.. I have seen ONE :o

I'm winding you up and hope all goes well with the test drive.

Have we any owners of this 'very nice' car? I remember when it first came out countless member were singing its praises.

We are off to Lincolnshire on Friday and I will be looking out with great interest to see if I can spot ONE ;)

I must confess to not having seen a Maybach either.

If you want to see Maybachs (and loads of other mercs) - go into the gloucester place (London W1) NCP car park (1st floor). They usually have about half a dozen Maybachs parked up in there.
The MB dealership on Portman Square uses it to park all their cars.

Speaking of which, has ANYONE seen a B Class out on the road? I have seen 1 only.

Land rover = absolute disgrace, terribly trained and unsure of product knowledge

volvo and jaguar are terrible, very abrupt and look down on most people
Hmmm - interesting that Land Rover, Volvo and Jaguar are all part of Ford's Premier Auto Group. Methinks somebody should be having words.

I've seen a few, but surely pretty well the only potential buyers are people who would have otherwise bought an E Class?

This lunch time I rang a Stealer to enquire about thwe"special offer" on a C320 CDI Sport Edition Saloon (comes with AMG bodkykit/alloys and normally retails for £32K) - the sales monkey was not too excited/intersted and said that the "...car must be registered before 31/12 and with Xmas there is not alot of time left to do the deal..." and was not bothered ata ll...
I was only enquiring anyway to see what was on offer (only applies to stock cars... )

they're not interested because its too much messing around for them to do, they're all too worried about finishing for christmas and cars not being registered in time and all cars have to be in the UK in order to be registered, they cant be registered while they're still in europe and no remaining cars are standard so they're select colours with massive specs that're going out of range of what people are wanting to pay and so by the time the salespersons messed around finding what cars are out there the customer says "ah f*ck that why is it so expensive?" because it has so much spec. Basically the deal you guys will get would only be the diesel acceleration which'll give you 3-4 grand off in this case; the C class, because you get the dealer discount plus a free complimentary to the next engine size for free, hence the reduced on the road but if you want the proper deal with the fall balls out discount with an extra couple of grand bonus theres only one dealer in the country that can do it so it has to be one of their available cars and there really is nothing left, the deals been around for about 6 weeks, after 2 or 3, theres very little left. Next time anything comes available, ill give you all a shout :)

I Managed 6k off my C270cdi earlier in the year ;)

Nope , mine wasnt a stock car , was still on its way to another dealership and was reassigned to me when the car was still in Belgium

You've done well there midyear, I wasn't aware of any added bonuses but I haven't been in sales all that long but well done with that car :D

Was the bonus money to clear the 270 CDI before the 320 came into the country.. Coupled with end of the quarter .... ;)

PMSL thats great for dealerships "ah come on, its the end or quarter, you want to get your numbers in!" and then they fall at their knees begging for a sale at a silly low price, great stuff :D

I heard yesterday of discounts of up to £18,000 on SL500s.

There is obviously a facelifted one coming soon and to Hell with the residual values for the poor punters that paid list price a while ago.

Mercedes dealers are fine up until getting your money then they go downhill
Audi it depends upon the individual dealer, some are great, some dont even answer the phone
Land rover = absolute disgrace, terribly trained and unsure of product knowledge
BMW dealers put on a nice happy front and make it seem like you're getting great discounts and they do have nice customer services etc but actually you're being screwed over in comparison to what they could genuinely give you off retail price
Peugeot are actually really good
citroen are reasonable
volvo and jaguar are terrible, very abrupt and look down on most people
mitsubishi, renault and bentley are all good

As mentioned it is a bit of a generalisation but we do use various suppliers of each manufacturer.

Anyway... lol back to topic, the 18% discount on the golf is a very good price, to find good VW discounts isnt easy, usually you'd be looking at around 10% on VW's unless theres a sales acceleration campaign running

Yes, the new shape 1.6 S Golf was a good deal because in late 04 the new model was selling less strongly than expected.More supply than demand and prices headed south for a short period.
Me...I always buy used privately where the real value is.

As silly as it sounds, it does happen, it happened just over a year back on the S class as well, there was some absolutely amazing discounts out there, and with the SL's there was again some great deals just before the new september reg

There's a new ("old" shape) S class next to the SLR at Oxford's new showroom.

No indication of what discount would be, but I imagine they are hoping for someone who knows nothing about cars and new models..and just comes in with a cheque book.
