Bloody chavs

Well ive had this problem for years the kids in my area have done it to all the cars in the area... standard black caps and then my £5 a set chrome ones and very annoying.

Caugh one of the kids earlier this year and in a rage i was about to stamp on his head when the good side of me kicked in so i grabbed the little shit by the face and took him to his house round the corner and had a go at his parents, they got a pot from his room full of them but all black one's but said they wouldnt buy me any new ones!

They gave up for a while but have now started again!

Sorry but I either have totally lost the plot:confused: or is theft not theft.
When I was younger I was taught that it is wrong to steal.
.
Stealing is stealing.
Its not what they are stealing but the act itself.

I agree that they don’t deserve a kicking etc as some have mentioned in this thread for stealing your dust caps but what if they had broken into your car or were stealing your wheels?

IMO if they are allowed to steal something small & get away with it there will always be the temptation for bigger & different things.

I have always taught stealing is wrong & IMO stealing is stealing no matter how small.
End of the day the dust caps don’t belong to them & if they showed a little initiative & went to a tyre fitters I bet they would find them something.
Or god forbid they could go out to halfords etc & buy some

There is a violent person inside of me but he doesnt get out ever!

And when i seen the kid taking them off i just thought about all the times down the shop buying more n more caps and spending my money on the same thing over and over, but yeah you are right violence doesnt solve shit and is very stupid of me to have even thought it.

Tut, tut, tut!

It is sooo wrong to threaten violence upon these poor, misguided, misunderstood creatures. Surely violence begets violence?

When caught why not simply offer them a book voucher? The word has always been mightier than the sword! Imagine offering these deprived young offspring the chance to read Biggles, or perhaps Greek Mythology. They would be engrossed for many, many hours..... a book voucher!! :)

The art of communication is sadly a dying skill and reading might help revive it? Education, education, education.

Regards
John the dreamer

This is a couple of quids worth of dust caps we are talking about right? Or is this all about ‘principal’? … Well, I confess, as a child I did steal some apples and I once stole some stationery from an employee, hang me now, I am not deserving to post with the righteous.

How about sending them on a free holiday to say saudi arabia?

Obviously IF they try and nick anything there they may come home with a hand missing, but after all they still have the other one.

Could always thump them over the head with a pocket-edition of War & Peace or similar :D

Costing me easily over £40 in total, but Yes they are only children after all and will grow up and learn sooner or later.

You need to do some good deeds to redeem yourself youngman!

I am self-flagellating with a copy of the Daily Mail as I type, thanking the good lord my earlier dalliance with scrumping didn’t persuade me into a life of armed Bullion robberies ….. because that happens you know

Come om fellas hardly crime of the century now is it...Its kids for gods sake...and yes even middle class kids nick shinny dust caps...take a look at any kids bike these days and clock the caps, infact with kids the better the standard of dust cap then the better respect. !..the posher caps the better !!!!..its like nickin apples to them and I really dont think its malacious in any way.!!!!...solution keep a load of black plastic ones in ya glove box they cost about one penny each !.......

This is a ridiculous thing to say! In my experience they move from valve caps to nicking your car in not a lot of time at all! Maybe you'll eat your words when your car gets nicked by some 15yo scrote...

For Cherie Booth
Oh , its OK , after they have stolen your caps , then they will key the side of your motor , and if you catch them in the act and call the woodentops , they will probably slit your throat on your own doorstep .
I just wish I could get the natural cynicism out of my system - If it was just as simple as a lighthearted naive act , wouldn't life be super ? and , yes , kicking their little teeth down their throats might be overkill (Tungin Cik etc) but I reckon a little shock sometimes encourages the necessary respect . I live in a "nice area" , but some of these little turds developed a habit of riding their pushbikes at old ladies on the pavement , also including those who had graduated to Pifco Hairdryer powered motor bikes . I don't take kindly to that , and I also don't take kindly to having to negotiate a heap of bike slung on the pavement - I found the cure was to tidy the bikes up into a nice neat pile at the bottom of the stairs - problem solved , status quo restored , respect back .
Like I said , I worked hard for my car , and there is no way anybody is going to lay a mit on it . In case anybody had failed to notice , the country in which we live has not improved for the better in recent years .

You stole stationary from an employee????

Way to go!!!

I thought it was always folks stealing stationary from their employer, but I like your style :D :D :D

Old ? tell me about it .
I'm just going to measure the statutory 75mm of water at 42C that the children will have in their bath .

I really think we are getting this all out of proportion here...really. When we are kids we take things occassionally that are not ours. If we are brought up properly we realise it is wrong but it is all part of growing up. I went out on a training day with work a couple of years ago. We all got pissed and had to admit to a time when we had taken something that wasnt ours when we were kids. Now all these were professional people from very good backgrounds... ( whatever good is these days ) ....but believe me they all had skeletons in the cupboards...from takin a few coins from thier parents spare change box, raiding grandmothers sweet tin, taking another childs pen, bunking in to the school disco, borrowing money and never paying it back ( you know the types...), working on the school fete stall with mother and taking a bottle of pop, being given money for school funds and keeping it, collecting for the church and keeping it...and so we go on !!...moving on to adulthood....I have heard of people making dodgey tax claims, being given too much change in the shop and saying nothing, taking paper, pens and general stationary from work, floppy discs and other computer software, adding the extra miles to their expense claims, claiming for meals , lunches and drinks that they never had, booking the odd hour that people never worked or rounding weekly hours up !!......do all these people go on to commit henious crimes... ? the fact that we all drink are we automatically going to become alcholics...? ......hmmmm, as I said, come on fellas its a few dust caps........... that usually middle class kids take.....the real scallies would take ya bloody car.. ;)

Just a side note on the locking valve caps. I've heard of the whole valve being ripped out in frustration due to these being fitted.

Well Pete , if it is not crime of the century , then neither is me kicking their teeth down their little throats .
My kids don't go out nicking , they know exactly what would happen if they tried - trouble is , no one has any respect for anything , is it OK if I trawl around in my van , and if I see a pushbike with nice shiny caps that look like they have been lifted , to sling the bike in the back of my van by way of compensation ? no - didn't think it was .
Trouble is pete - some of these little turds are just as likely to stick a knife in your ribs if you confront them , and why the hell should I work hard to buy a half decent car to have some piece of trash nick bits off it ?

Now I can turn off the rant -
sorry , but it is a pet hate of mine .

You do seem awfully agressive

Lost all four chrome caps that came with my wheels. Lucky I had just bought a set of Merc caps off of ebay.

Saw another definition of chavs today -

...Burberry Apes :D
