Hello,

anyoune ordered and using this performance kit? Is it ok? I am interested in this solution. What about fuel consuption. Is really fealable the power rise? What about noise?

I am now using kleeman headers and cat but sometimes i have engine icon on instrument cluster. I need a really stable car becouse i am traveling for long distances. But i fell a bit more HP will be better.
Thank you

Hi David, I own the same car w204 c200k. What's your engine like on cold stats? Is it noisy ? Do you get a clicking noise for about 20 secs when you start your engine from cold?

Heloo,

exactly as you write. clicking noise for first 15-20 seconds. But i have now only kleeman headers no boost kit.

But when i filled the engine with new oil for a first few weeks the start was excelent. But now, after 1-2 months it is the same.

I believe the boost kit comprised of larger kompressor pulley?

It will improve bhp, however (like almost every other modification) it putts more stress on engine components so reliability and service life are potentially compromised.

It's down to personal choice - horses for courses.

The loud clicking noise on cold starts is driving me mad! What viscosity engine oil do you use ? I've been told the kompressor is generally a noisy engine. Have you ever took your car to dealers for the noise?

No i Havent took with noise to dealer. I am using Shell 5W30 oil. But someone told me it is not good oil. Better to use Castrol or anything else.

It really depends in where you love. It's an approved oil. I use 0w 40. Where abouts do you live?

Hi, i dont think it is a good idea to use 0W40. But i try to call tomorow my dealer.
How much km or miles you have on this engine? I have 157 000 km

Mines 40000km. Where are you based? Can you upload a video of your engine on a cold start ?

My CLC 180K Sport has the same noise and disappears after.. A MB specialist told me its normal

Got my service A coming in 2500 miles might try a slightly thicker oil

Oo and my neighbours CLC does the same noise too

Isn't that the oil MB tell you to use?

Maybe 5w40 would be better

And back to the boosting wouldn't it be cheaper to sell yours and get a 230 kompressor ? They got a bit of a punch to them

What oil do you currently use? I use mobil 1 0w 40 dealer said use 5w40 should be a little quiter. Is the tap tap clicking noise louder on cold starts in yours ?

That's the one I will use next and yes it is I notice it more when I don't drive the car for like a week but like I said after a few seconds or when the engine starts to warm up it disappears

But when I do a long drive (let's say 100 motorway miles) park up and do the same journey home the next morning I'm pretty sure the noise is not there (but don't hold me to that)

I'm sure it's normal like I said I know a few 180, 200 and 230 kompressors that do it

Are you currently using 0w 40! I've also been told to try a engine flush by dealer. They sell an approved engine flush by tunap for 7.00.

Just looked at my service book that's the oil it's got, I've read that 5w 40 won't make it disappear it will quieten the noise down on those cold start..

Never tried engine flush before but the noise is normal nothing to worry about
