Bought myself an A45 AMG today

People seem so jealous of others success.

Good luck to him!

There are thousands and thousands of 18 year olds out there, driving more expensive and powerful cars than an A45, and they are still alive and not causing accidents. I had some fast cars when I was young and even I didnt crash them all.

Its hardly a Roller is it, so give him a break. He is working hard and making money, not drinking white lightening and claiming the dole.

Go for it and I hope you continue on the upward path.

An 18 year old lad who's done well for himself and bought himself a brand new car, and a quick one at that? What's not to be proud of?

I think he should be very proud of his achievement, I'd be disturbed if he took it for granted!

Bragging, not about the car...but being 18 and lauding it as a badge of honour. All he has done is make a little money and boast in a very distasteful way(remember he's buying a car not a house), which seems very immature. It is facile.

The ability to buy the car and afford that car are different.

If not, equally well done for winding up so many in such a short time ;)

Why are you promoting what you clearly perceive to be antagonism?
Do you believe that is what the majority of forum members want?

no he didnt... thats moneysupermarkets postcode.

Is it? In a residential area? Interesting..... Thanks for the heads-up!

Some people are way off, who knows if I've not got money towards a house?
Like said, my finances are my knowledge.

And no, I didn't invest in bitcoins to earn my money, that's about 10% lol.
I own 3 companies, soon to be 4 if all goes to plan over the next month or so.

Invest and divest, people.

The fact that it's "only" a 2L and the additional safety features it has means that premiums seem to be lower for the A45. Saying that I can't imagine it is that much cheaper than the figures Developer posted for his son to drive a 2.5L Subaru when OP last posted about this

It's been fun reading this - nobody really knows if the OP is what he says he is, or is winding people up.

Time will tell.

The insurance figures quoted by the OP are significantly lower than those I posted a while back for my hypothetically 20 year old son in a £14K Subaru, even taking into account how the OP has structured his policy:

You need to increase the excess J to £1000...that should do the trick.

Great stuff son, was driving about on a 650 Kawasaki at 17 and loads of young lads were being killed and injured on 100+ mph bikes in the 70s.

Enjoy the car and drive safely I drive past MB Grimsby regularly, and if you see an old guy in a SLK55 AMG with the roof down just wave........

Just read this thread... there are some right miserable so-and-so's on this forum!

Well I think enough is enough really! It's not a big deal and is making the forum look unfriendly when it's not.

Yep I agree. It seems to be the way the forum is heading though :(

I don't think it is.

There are only a small number of prolific miserable old gits that create the perception it is.
