Brake light on on dash display sprinter 318

Hi we have a sprinter this weekend there is a light on the dash that says brake light does anyone know why this light is on I've checked the brake fluid reservoir and their is sufficient fluid in there (the bottom Light sorry the pic is the wrong way)

Brake pads worn out?

What does the handbook say?

It says low brake fluid level but the fluid level is nearly full, it has a separate warning light for the pads but we have changed the sensors on them just in case
