A few of us (blokes) are thinking of visiting the Brooklands Museum in Oct

Have any of you been to it? Will it take a whole day up and is it inside (thinking about likelyhood of rain come oct)?

I guess it is a blokey thing to do, something in there for everyone ?

Also I am taking a guy in a wheelchair, what sort of area is involved, is it over a vast areal or just like a normal museum size ?

I am hoping to go to the Merc side afterwards is time allows :)

Its excellent.

You could kill a whole day there.

It is inside and outside ( cars and planes ) Concorde , bouncing bombs , Lancaster bomber , supersonic wind tunnel , Shah of Persias private plane , Napier Railton , etc etc etc ...

MB World Brooklands is nothing to do with the Brooklands Museum.

Lots of space for wheelchairs.

I agree with Howard, certainly lots to see and do and well worth a visit. The new Brooklands hotel on site is excellent as well.

Ive been to the museum many times, it is over 3 floors. They have very big glass lifts that take you from floor to floor.
If your staying in the hotel and thinking of doing an AMG experience I would advise some of the hotel/experience packages that they do, they are very good value for money.

Brooklands Museum is NOT MB World Brooklands.

Although both are excellent.

I take my 2.5 year old boy there most weekends, he loves looking at Concorde, sitting in an F1 car and looking at the bicycles (the guys on the front gate must think we are mad, we are only there for literally 20 minutes at a time, but he loves it)... You can easily while a way many hours - great place.
