"Brutus" the e55k Project

Wow I must have been lucky ...so far :dk:...I have just had to replace the Pilot Bush, the G/box conductor plate, filter & ATF plus. 2 rear tyres , I changed the oil & Air filter & oil for Mot last week. Had advisory on the ball joints ,so am now about to fit two lower front ball joints, while I am there I will replace the brake pads.( anyone have a G clamp press they want to sell?

I do have the two spots of alloy corrosion on the boot lid & some 3-4 small marks on the rear bumper which I have been quoted £400. So all good as I will have owned it for 1 year mid December.

Fair play to you Gavin, you have soldiered on & now have a really nice car ...I think your green car & my Blue car are far nicer than the silver /black offerings...especially in the sunlight where they change colour lol:D

Stunning Colours French for sure:thumb: It was what made me buy tbh. Brutus has some small alloy corrosion to but its very very minor and again on my list of things to sort but that will wait till next year.

This car couldn't have been sold to a better owner. Excellent work all round and that colour!

All the best with it Gav, I'm sure by the time you've finished with it the car will be running sweet come springtime when you'll really be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Thanks SPX, Yes a dry day between now and then would be nice ;), But then again my wife is due to give birth any day now so that will be keeping me busy for a while lol.

Good work Gav, you deserve a break from the maintenance side of things and get out there and enjoy her.. and of course keep the detailing thread going. Fantastic work.

Well Gav I have just caught this thread,so I have to watch out for this green/black monster flashing past me on the A120, the bodywork looks fantastic, very envious, will keep a eye out for you,you have worked hard on that car,my days of crawling under them is over but you have achieved a lot in a short time.

It's been mapped and had a pulley, etc etc, Was told aprox 560hp 835nms but no dyno print.

w140? awesome shame its only a 280 as its abit under powered for car that size. Still a nice car tho.

I`m looking to see what can be done to it,maybe someone on here can help.I missed the S600 being to lazy to call.

tbf it really needs tobe a v8 at least bud. Just use it for what it was designed for, A smooth comfortable cruise.

Well Diff cooler gets it!

It all started with me rubbing down the diff cooler fins lol.

Ended up painting the Rear exhuasts cleaning the silencer's, and boot floor, Also did the rear crash bar. Damm Brutus is looking very tidy these days.
