You can buy tyres from Costco now, and have them fitted later. Or at least Costco Birmingham used to do that.
I found Event Tyres cheaper than Costco even with the 20% discount applied in November. It doesn't help that Costco don't participate in the Michelin cash back offers which increases the real cost compared to the like of Event and other retailers.

You bought tyres for a car you dont own?!! How do you know they are the size you will need? A CLK 55 has staggered wheels!

Costco used to be very cheap but now they're only there or thereabouts even with the 20% discount. They also only keep very popular sizes and they took months to get the 225/50R16 rears for my car. The local one to me (Chester) told me they never get asked for winter tyres. I don't think Michelin are particularly rated for winter tyres anyway.
It's a fair question but there is a good chance that the wheels will be staggered 17" & handbook confirms same tyres front & rear for winter use. 225 will be fine on an 8.5" wide rim.

They had a large stock of Alpins in both Croydon and Thurrock branches a fortnight ago in 16,17 & 18" albeit in the larger widths i.e. 205 and up.
A visit to MyTyres to check my order progress reveals that the price has gone up by nearly £50 per tyre on the ones I ordered yesterday! They have not charged me for them yet - I wonder if they will honour the price or try to bump it up. If they do try to charge me an extra £200 then they can get stuffed!

Did they confirm acceptance of your order?
If not then they may try it on with you. If accepted, then you can argue your case.

They've declined my credit card for some reason so I've wired the money to them. It seems they are honouring the original price.
If you don't use your credit card for "forrin" transactions then the anti-fraud usually kicks in first time you do so.
I used mytyres to get my winter tyres and the service was perfect.
Tyres arrived at my local depot when they said they would and you can track the delivery all the way from Germany
I'm also using 225/45/17 all round on my staggered W209 set up.

For your "normal" tyres you should use MO, these have some structural and compound differences against non MO tyres. This does not apply to winter tyres since the working conditions are very different.
I was involved in a "owner/ dealer" dispute regarding a second-hand Nissan 350z. The dealer fitted two new rear tyres ( non approved ) for this car and as a result the owner lost traction on a roundabout writing the car off. Blame focused on the incorrect rear tyres concluding the dealer had to replace the car.

I think i read somewhere (possibly this thread) that occasionally there were some issues with MyTyres and credit cards, and the problem seems to get blamed on the other dept by the dept's involved, so you tend to go round in circles, better to do as you did i think and use another payment method and sort out the CC issue later, especially if the tyres just went up in price !
