I'm thinking about buying a 300CE-24 for it's interior, and then selling it out.
I could buy it for £1,000. The front wings are rusty, but it comes with new ones. Assuming I have the bodywork the done and give it my interior (no rips of tears, just very few cracks on the driver's seat bolster) what would a good condition H-reg 90k mile example, go for?
Just a very rough idea is all I need, please :)

Many thanks,

Darren

Is this the one:

If that is the one, the only way I can see it making a profit after you have sorted out the wings and the interior is by giving it a good clean all round for starters. That engine bay would need cleaning also. The paint could do with a polish too. Mechanically it would need to be sound too with all the electrics working aswell. The Hirschmann antenna needs replacing too. Finally you would need to get the grill back to original and some original wheels.

Ones with defects and no history don't seem to go at all unless priced rock bottom... - look on pistonheads to get an idea.

The only ones that fetch any money are excellent, well maintained original cars, and they sit around for ages until an enthusiast/mug (like me) buys one.

Best of luck.

That ebay one is indeed the one. The seller tells me the interior is in good condition, although does require a clean (I would guess it's on par with the state of the exterior).

From what's been said I'm understanding it's not the way to go to get a Carat Duchatelet interior :(

Look at that front arch !! Looks like it's run over a landmine !!

Must be worth £600 though (the current price) if it's a genuine 90K and there's no other major faults.

Ignoring the interior swap, it'd make a nice enough car - swap the grille and wheels (some one would buy the old ones on eBay...), a new antenna, and fit (maybe paint also) the front wings. Good clean up and you've got a decent 124 coupe (3.0 24v, with leather and auto box!) for a grand
