how can i tell if it is the maf, once ive done the coil pack
it is very likely to be the maf.
Meter pin-5 wrt gnd, expect ~2v at idle rising to ~4.8v at full revs.
I know I am being a plank DM, I get the pin 5, I get the gnd but what is 'wrt' ..... be gentle with cos I know it will be so obvious!
Well .... if it is the same one as fitted to the C220cdi ... you could come and see me (Long Stratton area) and play swapsies that might rule it in or out. Part no. is A 611 094 00 48.
Hi there
im hoping this is the right place to put this, i have recently bought a c200 s reg merc and the only thing that is wrong with it is just like previous posts is mine is running sluggish and every now and then you go to accelorate from a junction and it just has no power so i have to take my foot off accelorator and press it down again and away it goes.
also when traveling along it seems to suck back on power as well so i have had it plugged into 2 different diagnostic machines and the first one came back with o2 oxygen sonsor mix stop/ too lean or somthing along them lines so i went and bought a new sensor and had that fitted and then got the codes reset but was still doing exactly the same thing so then had a mobile merc tech come to me and he used there equipment and came up with the same code message.
the MAF sensor looks new and (excuse me i know nothing about the correct names of parts) is it the air intake flap looks really new as well, clean as anything so now i dont know what to do?
im going to send the sensor back as i think that might either be faulty or not compatable with my car as it was a universal part and they said it would be ok but obvioulsy not and eveything points back to the o2 sensor and no matter how many times i clear the fault as soon as the car is started then it comes back.
anyone got any ideas plz
