Hi all, I have a dent in my boot lid and a cheaper alternative to having it beaten out and resprayed is to but a new boot lid from a breakers yard. I've found a black one to match my car. I know the colour won't be spot on but I'm planning on a white wrap anyway. My question is... How difficult is it to change the bootlid myself?

Depends if it comes complete with locking mechanism, number plate lights, wiring, etc.
Should be easy enough, but you will need a hand, or two, from friends to help by holding the old one while you unbolt it and hold the new one in situ while you insert the bolts.
With luck you will see marks from the previous hinge mounting to help with approximate alignment position of where it needs to be, before fully tightening the bolts.
Make sure the lock is unlocked before trying it in the closed position.
