I seem to have developed a problem with the passenger side front memory seat. The seat does not respond to any movements on the door switches.

I am aware that the battery was disconnected as i has to reset the windows, sunroof and clock however I'm not sure if the seat has a reset as well.

I've checked fuses and all seems to be ok so I'm looking for help!

I dont think it is safe to disconnect the battery to reset trivial things as it has been known to blow a SAM module or two. The seats are controlled by the rear SAM.

I take it that your stop lamps work, trunk opens and fuel guage is ok. In that case I would open the door trim and pull the power plug out to the door control module and not the whole car.

With a diagnostic it takes not time at all to work this out as the windows and seats can be controlled with the diagnostic. Sounds like a power outage of some kind.

The seat is the only thing that seems to be faulty. The annoying thing is it worked in the garage when i bought it before it went in for a service.

I only picked it up on Friday and to be honest i am still using my W202 just now.

The only other thing i noticed yesterday is that i get a malfunction on a rear lamp, tells be back up being used??? Checked that lamps and they were fine only to discover the fault had cleared!

i keep getting that aswell might be dirty connectors where the bulb goes

I get an intermittent bulb out warning on my W203, have had the dealers look into on several occasions and they always say all is ok.

Just had a thought.... I should check that the bulbs are all MB originals, as I know that this has had an effect on some of our other Mercedes.

There is a spurious lamp fault in the rear lamps and front blinkers. This is a wiring harness defect which requires a special modification kit.
