C350e anyone considering one?

Question - I drove over to the in laws, left the car with 50% charge on the dash, went for a walk for 1.5 hours or so, checked the dash, now showing 46%. As we went to leave about 4 - 5 hours later it was down to 30% which I was really surprised by. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it natural/cold related or worthy of going into the workshop?

Just had to....
Happens to a lot of guys. Batteries gets drained when visiting in laws. :-)
Congratulation with new car by the way,

Not sure, I've been surprised mine doesn't loose any % overnight. Until I get my charge point installed I'm doing it 6-8ish and is still showing 100% the morning after.

You are doing well to get above 40mpg on fuel, my throttle foot is too heavy!

Does that include BIK car tax ?

Thanks for that, gotta love those weekly emails! - Always hoping for it to get sooner? :P - started on early feb, but has been the same for a good few months now!

Hoping they are correct as i get back from a holiday on the last day of feb! - So will be a great return gift!

I keep seeing people talking about the Mercedes app / control - and not sure if i'll be able to activate it, but here's to hoping!

Would have liked the NHS Fleet Solutions to give more detail tho, along the lines of a normal order status, dates / times/ manufacturing status, but oh well :) - still happy that i'm not waiting too much longer!

And hoping you are enjoying the car! - not seen one at all so far!

not quite got it yet, first week in Feb (or earlier if I get lucky) the past 7 months have dragged by but by all accounts it will be worth the wait. I have seen a couple now in Manchester. They look amazing in brilliant blue. I hope these next few weeks pass by quickly!!

i love the blue and the black, but have had similar before, so i went for the cavansite blue :) - not seen many pics yet, so still excited to see what it looks like in a few months! :)

there is a cavansite blue near to where I park in Manchester, it looks fantastic I have to say. Especially in the sunlight.

Hi,

I've had my c350e for about 6 weeks. I drive very conservatively and usually get 45mpg. One tank I managed 56. I managed to get 50mpg starting with zero electric miles once.

A lot of the time I just can't resist giving it the beans. Now I think of it as a reasonably economic missile and that helps me sleep at night.

Prem Plus, Palladium, 18s & Privacy Glass. Went from a standard 61 plate Golf, which is like a quantum leap in pretty much every way.

Same Mercedes Me issues through Hitachi and still trying to progress and will go as far as possible to get a satisfactory resolution.

Did you unlock it and therefore inadvertently activate the pre-heat function? I've noticed that unlocking, getting something from the car and locking again can leave pre-heat on and therefore drain the battery. You need to ensure that if you have the pre-heat activated on unlock that if yo go to the car, you press the button on the dash to switch it off again otherwise it will carry on warming the car for the next 15mins or so..

Ordered mine early June - similar spec except white and confirmed date to dealer is 19th Feb - everyone else seems to be getting theirs before mine neven if they ordered after me but hopefully mine will be ready for when I get back from a week in the snow

Can relate to this! my experience too. Wait time seemed to be on average about 8 months for anyone who ordered when we did. There have been a few people who have managed it sooner. Not sure there is an exact science to it. Orderes seem to be coming through much quicker now though. Noticing some of the newer orders seem to be getting 4-5 month delivery estimates now.

I think you might have my car! I ordered the exact same spec end of June, originally advised September delivery then November then settled on mid February.

Still impatiently waiting!

Just taken delivery. C350e Estate no extras in tenorite grey.

I'll post some pics once i get out the office to have a play!

It's good to see lead times coming down, mine is being delivered next Monday and was ordered via Alphabet early June. Cannot come fast enough... I have to go to York the following week so will get a decent run in quickly and as mileage paid for the expected 35 mpg on the long run is fine. Most of my driving is locally so I should get the most out of it the rest of the time. :thumb:

Had an interesting event with my car last week, after filling up with fuel (again) I drove out of the petrol station got about 20 yards when a warning came up telling me only e-drive was available and to refuel immediately
I had 3 electric miles available and was 3 miles from home and the car would not engage the petrol engine, I pulled over and turned the car off and then back on but still the same message.

I managed to get home on electric, turned the car off for 5 minutes and the problem had cleared.

What I don't know is if I had ran out of electric miles would the car have engaged the petrol engine and recognised the car was full of fuel?

Wasn't a serious issue as I was on normal roads close to home but could have been interesting if I was on a motorway more than 3 miles from an exit
saw this in a forum over here in NL. It's a 'feature'(!) according to one of their mechanics who seems pretty clued up..so the safety tip is never switch off without filling up once you've gotten into the reserve area/tank as it might not actually start again (!)

I'm not sure about this. On my second fill up I ran it right down (yellow light and it stopped giving me a range estimate!). No issues starting once refilled.

If it is a safety feature then what is it supposed to do?

Can't see it been a safty feature unless it had ran dry.

Sounds like there's a sensor at fault to me.

Just been informed by Lex Autofleece that mine will be delivered on Monday.
Prem plus estate, brilliant blue, crystal grey leather, brown ash wood trim, driver assist pack, iled, privacy, 360 camera, 8m cables. Rolec charger fitted, so all ready to go.
About time too after ordering last April.
Car delivered today. Charged it, drove to fill up with petrol which was 7 miles on electric. Reset the mpg and it did another 3 miles before the engine kicked in. After that did another 133 miles, so 136 miles in total, mostly on fuel, and trip computer said 47.8mpg, 36 of those with the engine off. I wasnt going fast and had it on the distronic set at 60mph for half of the way. Mostly motorway and reasonable traffic, so quite impressed with that for first trip. My 520d did about 62 mpg on same journey and speeds. I'll fill up tomorrow after I do the return trip and properly check the consumption.

The trip computer 'may' be using smaller U.S. Gallons rather than UK ones, as the Connect Me remote trip computer readings can only be displayed in either U.S. standard system or Metric.

So MPG 'may' be under reported if the Germans catered for the larger U.S. Market.
