C350e anyone considering one?

It only seems to reset back to C after a good few hours. I don't know how to set it as default.

Mine does this also. Slightly annoying. Aren't we lazy nowadays when having to flick a switch on an auto car is hard work lol.

You are using yours exactly as I use mine with the exception that I have my set up as Sport+ suspension and steering. Get 40's on long journeys and 80's when I charge home to work.

Best part is one flick to Sport+

My bad. I too have the suspension set as sport+. Helps fill the arches with rubber and while I would have loved 18's, it really doesn't bother me now, especially consider the tax saving and not having increased the cost by £500 for the sake of a bit of extra metal. It annoys me how they charge such money to upgrade the wheels that come default. Yet when buying wheels private the difference between a set of 17's and 18's is negligible. :dk:

I don't get how people have ordered recently and are getting delivery before other.

I ordered a Brilliant Blue PP Saloon. First week of September and its due mid April.

I would not mind but have a C200d AMG Line company pool car and its costing me £200 a month in tax and contribution.

I managed to grab a cancelled order and was allowed to change the colour that is all. I literally had a two hour window to select brilliant blue. It's just a case of being at the right place at the right time.

That explains it! I ordered mine end Dec due late April. The factory seems to be churning them out now.

I do hope so! Mine is now due to "land" on 5th April (No 1 son's 56th birthday!) and with me on about 11th.

Although I've been impatient for the last two months, I hope that the time taken will work in my favour. Maybe some of the niggles (and worse) reported here will have been ironed out; outside temperature, charging faults and so on. As PDI draws near, I'll be reviewing the many helpful posts that list the issues to keep an eye on. After all, I do not want to break down in the mountains of Italy in early June. (Memo: must learn Italian for gearbox failure, charging fault, "help I'm in terrible trouble"!).

Had the delivery date for mine confirmed at 1st April, hope it's not an April fool!

Starting to get excited now.

Estate in Tenorite with privacy glass, ILS and black ash trim.

After

19" much better:bannana:

Hi all,

I am considering an 350E estate sport but am worried that the reviews say it's not a motorway cruiser?!.

Is it noisy at 70 mph.i currently run a 5 series touring which is very quiet.

Nice wheels!
I'm thinking of upgrading to 19s once I get mine in a couple of weeks.
Has increasing the wheel size effected anything on the car?
Mine is a lease car with maintenance and tyres paid for so when I need new rubber I would have to fork out for them myself.
Can I ask you roughly how much you paid for them and did you use a main dealer?
Cheers

No hasn't affected anything as far ask can tell, only had the 17" on for 30 mins, so didn't get much of a run
Rimstyle was the place I got them with conti sport contact 6 and tyre pressure sensors for £1400 delivered

Not sure where it says it's not a motorway cruiser as its a very pleasant car to drive on the motorway. Effortless to drive, very smooth and blissfully quiet.

I disagree. 17's are enough it's just that 18's+ fill the arches better. 19's obviously look sweet but I imagine the ride may be compromised a little. Not ideal when you're a motorway cruiser. And going back to my original point, it's not just the cost of the wheels, as a company car driver it would severely whip the CO2 up and along with it the car tax. (I'm actually jealous lol but happy with my pocket friendly 17's. They actually look quite good considering ; )

I recall the journalist reviews saying similar but can confirm that the car is quieter than more or less any other I have driven on the motorway. If you can hear road noise and a bit of wind buffeting more than the engine that has to be a good sign. I can't imagine anyone ever complaining about owning a 350e (that is unless you have tech probs with it which I appreciate some have). Best car I have ever had, almost drives itself.:thumb:

I think that statement ia because it's extra urban fuel economy is poor, as there is no electric mode. I think it was said that if you are doing a lot of long distance miles then a diesel is still a better option.

Thanks, lucky guy, I'm with a big lease company so won't get that chance. Oh well 4 more weeks to go.

Yessssss! My brill blue estate is coming today! Can't wait! Better be good as I have not even driven one, let alone even sat in a c class!

Jealous, still months away from getting mine. Likewise I haven't test driven one and have only sat in a recent c class once after I'd ordered the c350e!

Sure I won't be disappointed - I actually did the same last time around. Test drove the old model c250d and ended up ordering the new facelift e220d without ever seeing one in the flesh and never having test driven any e class.

I loved it and sure the 350e will be a similar experience, although I'll have to get used to a slightly smaller cabin, I'll be able to live with that when it comes to the additional power available under the right foot and lower taxation.
