C350e anyone considering one?

I have the Audio 20 and I am sure I get voice activated dialling. Only tried it a couple of times, can't remember if it worked or not.
One big fail for me is that things like speed dial shortcuts etc still take a few button presses to get there. not very much of a shortcut unless I am missing something.

Maybe I'm just an idiot

I'm wondering if it is because I haven't imported my contacts....? I've just had a look, but it only allows me to import them via bluetooth (which is fine), but it connects to my phone then just sits there saying 0 contacts found and some blurb about selecting and sending the contacts I want to import. Can't see an option on my phone, so I'm stumped....

Good call; I've also just read something about holding the voice activation button for more than one second. Will report back shortly.

ETA - Nope, still not working. It has imported my contacts and can read my text messages, but no voice dialing...

Might have to take a trip to the local MB dealer; I can't believe it doesn't have voice dialing.

I have the standard audio20 and when I click sync contacts via Bluetooth it comes up with the send contacts thing but I just left it and after a few minutes they all appeared without doing anything else.

I've not been able to voice dial either, all seemed sat nav commands which I thought odd

My car came with a linguatronic booklet that lists all the commands for voice control. Quite good being able to ask the music system to find a particular artist. Pretty sure that phone commands are in there.

So i've had my estate for 12 days now and is working well for my commute...

Figures seem quite impressive, will have to see if they stack up against actual usage figures after my first full fill up yesterday.

The 91.1mpg trip is my commute in today, 79% electric, 21% engine.

The only bit that is less impressive is that I calculate the engine only mpg to be 20-22mpg.....

Assuming Merc is consistent across cars, on my non-premium plus GLC voice control only works for sat nav. if you want other voice control you need premium plus.

Quite disappointing, my Honda worked for climate control, stereo etc.

Nice one.. car looks so much better with them wheels (if you are going 17's) and the black mirrors and trim with tinted glass.

Perfect white combo now with the pano roof

I'm not sure, I think the night package would loo good on white or silver, but kind of looks lost on blue. It needs a bit of brightwork to stand out.

Nice differentiator for me compared to all others at my work already. Didn't like all the chrome bits before.

I had the exact same thoughts and nobody else has one (yet) in work - i have seriously tried to justify if its worth it and to be honest I cant, the chrome looks great on brilliant blue , at least in a picture as I hasn't seen one for real.

Roll on July when mine arrives ( new MY17 spec) , blue calipers will make me well chuffed ! ( sad )

From readings hundreds of comments my view is it depends on several factors :

1) can you cope with a lot less boot space
2) can you cope without Pro Sat Nav ( still the best in class )
3) can you cope with extra fill ups ( small tank )
4) do you drive a short commute / lots of short trips and can charge up at home + work ?
5) have you got all the bells and whistles ticked ( I think Prem Plus is a must + Driver assistance if possible

Mine ( with every option but towbar / perfume ) comes in July and I think i will be more than happy with my choice ( move from a BMW 530 ) if for nothing than the large company car tax saving - if i was buying then I would be sticking with the high end of the BMW 5 series and when BMW come out with a proper 5 series Hybrid with ultra low co car tax I will probably move back to BMW, but I am really looking forward to my first Merc - genuinely more excited than any other car ive had.

Depends on your expectations of course and as Tekky points out choice of spec etc.

For me little things make the difference as in last weekend when hunting for a space in a exceedingly busy shopping mall and for us to be able to park right at the front in a charging bay and charge for free make the C350e truly special.
