C350e anyone considering one?

This is what happened to mine! It was the gearbox valve block module, you can not remove one from another car as it is coded to the vehicle, or so the dealer told me. The part was with them in two days and fitted quickly afterwards. The longest part of the repair was getting the correct adaption values out of the gear box. Even after this had been done, the first time I used it in sport mode the gear change was terrible. Took about ten minutes of going up and down the box to get it smooth.

Thanks for info! Have sent this to them, for them to comment. Not sure if is the same issue, but I voiced my concern with "can't take from different car" and the gear being messed up after replacing... It is really really frustrating to get a brand new car, and now feeling it is tampered with and not really new... Makes me ask myself what else may be wrong too.....

WOW! Is this real?! How can it be?! Did you or could you check the mileage on the car? Did it happen while the car was with the dealer?
I wonder if someone tried to learn a few tricks after 6PM?

I'm now scared as I'm waiting for a delivery in December

most people are looking at around 9 months. I ordered mid June, and don't have a delivery date yet. All I have is a vague guestimate saying end of February 2016. Hopefully you won't have to wait as long!

Is this a personal purchase or a fleet one?
I ordered mine end of June- as a personal buyer- and (so far) have a delivery date showing on the Baumaster as first week of December.

I'm waiting for a VIN next week which will reflect on how accurate the promised dates are!

When I spoke to the dealer he said that it uses to be 9 months, but Mercedes have ramped up production so they dont see an issue on dates. Just seems.concerning that some people who ordered a while back and should be higher up the order are still being delayed!

He also told me that when the first batch of 40 were alocated there were 2400 orders! I assume this is the back log that is creating the issues.

What colour have people gone for? I went for white with the premium plus pack, but keep seeing it in black and i am not sure!

brilliant blue on black leather with premium plus. The white ones Ive seen look fantastic, especially with the pano roof.

Adding HUD, apparently might incur a delay of two weeks!
Nevertheless, it seems that factory have decided to make some minor cosmetic changes for Model Year 16 i.e. removing the side chrome trims on the back bumper and also the chrome splitter on the front grill plus modification of the wing mirror chrome as well. I'm not impressed by this but unfortunately is beyond our control.
At least white is right colour to add details for those with keen eyes .

brilliant blue on black leather with premium plus. The white ones Ive seen look fantastic, especially with the pano roof.

I agree- panoramic roof plus privacy glass makes impression of an entire black dome over the white body of the car and looks fantastic

My dealer mentioned to me just two weeks ago that the delay was nine months but this might simply reflect his allocation, pipeline and the several that he has sold to date.

BTW mine is Brilliant Blue with panoramic roof over beige leather

Hard to reconcile dealer comment with the facts I was given. All cars when ordered and placed on the system are provided with an option "freeze date" .
I was able to add 360 camera HUD just hours before the freeze date and of course the car was delivered on the date shown on the schedule.

That is an excellent combination- it stands out

I chose Beige Leather merely because its the only option allocated to the UK cars that delivers the matching colour carpets/ inlay with the chosen seat and dash colours! I would have gone for a light grey leather but the carpets will remain black.

I agree with you. Sales Rep talking to customers resembles some of the "house of commons" speech deliveries more politics than facts.
Well, what can we do? Wish I could order directly from the factory- no nonsense harsh facts are better tolerated than hot air with a smile!

I have HUD in my current vehicle which is a reflective green one but very useful and nice. I couldn't have missed the large colour projective HUD in the Merc! It makes my driving easier as I'm a multitasked long distance driver everyday.
As for the MY16 changes, up to the present time, the changes seem to be like the one I mentioned earlier plus a minor interior change as well. That is the Burmaster Speaker cover on the front door will be delivered in black as opposed to the silver as it was!
Come on Merc! stop playing ....

I have HUD in my current vehicle which is a reflective green one but very useful and nice. I couldn't have missed the large colour projective HUD in the Merc! It makes my driving easier as I'm a multitasked long distance driver everyday.

Car arrived at dealer on Tuesday, and I was to pick it up yesterday. Have not seen milage or anything... All I know is that they say it has been driven on and off transport vehickles in Germany and here. The issue appeared as they were going to take it off the truck after having been in for prep and polishing, which leads me to think it has not been driven much at all. Will be interesting to see mileage when I get it... Makes me wonder what QA/QC they are doing at manufacturing before shipping... And what else may be wrong...!
