C350e anyone considering one?

I keep looking at photos of the two colours and trying to decide, it's a bit of a 1st world problem really trying to decide what colour to have a Mercedes in.

I would have thought that changing the colour shouldn't have an impact on the build slot as it has to be sprayed a colour anyway and I assume the line isn't set up to spray a batch of blue ones, then a batch of white ones, but red, white, silver, blue...however orders have been placed?

Does anyone have experience of changing their colour selection, then having their dates change?

I'm very much looking forward to the car arriving - I was going to go for a C220 in AMG trim originally (after receiving useless service and deals with Jaguar on the XE) but the C350e seems the all round better car!

I changed options after my vehicle was put back from August delivery to September and was told that this wouldn't affect delivery, think the dealer can see projected delays on parts when they are adding extras and I've been told all is okay.

I also went for brilliant blue, good choice.

unfortunately it seems to be a bit of a lottery at the minute, delivery dates seem to have mostly been pushed back across the board.

Hopefully they now have things under control.

That does look pretty lovely! I think I'll give them a call in the morning to see if they can have a check for me about swapping over.

How's the boot space in the end? Did you get 2 charging cables with it?

Well done. I am sure you will not regret the change. Read recently that the A A have discovered via a poll they carried out that Blue is the new Silver

They've come back today and confirmed there's no change to the expected delivery date.

Now to wait the 9 or so weeks until it's delivered. I'm not in too much of a rush though for those weeks to pass by, I'll be quite sad to see my SLK depart!

The boot space in the saloon doesn't look too badly impacted by the batteries. I think having the step might be a good thing if you're only carrying a few items, makes it less likely to slide all over the place when you go around the first corner!

I read somewhere that the MY 16 production would start around August / Sept but who knows, I don't.

Thanks for the pics, especially the Estate boot.

Received an email today from my supplying dealer to say that I've now been allocated a car (I guess that means build slot?) and that my Estate C350e is confirmed for late January delivery as previously predicted. It was ordered first half of June.
