C63 507 Edition Wide arch project

Very impressive :D

Followed from start and so great to see the end product,

Credit to you for thinking it though, funding it and keeping us involved .

Only thing that we now need - some high quality photos (laminated is better to wipe off the drools :)).

Looks stunning, Lee, just gonna add my opinion and it's only my opinion, everybody's different, would look much better with Silver alloys. :) But as I've said, Lee
It stunning!!! :D
Maybe not silver but definately not black for me. How about a variation of gold?

I think it would look great with silver wheels too, I wasn't sure if the Bronze calipers would work with that so played safe with black

Me again.... woke this morning eager to get the car properly cleaned... The bodyshop are great but they can't clean a car for toffee..
I love detailing my car as much as driving!! The car isn't going anywhere for a good few weeks as I want the paint to cure fully to help avoid stone chips.
1st up was the Interior detail, its was filthy with bodyshop dust, grease marks etc, the steering wheel and gear knob were in desperate need of a clean too.
The whole process inside took me 4hrs including the upholstery and carpets/mats etc.

Now with inside finished I set about cleaning the outside, This wasn't a wheels off detail due to the paint still being soft and wanting to avoid any accidental damage.
Thankfully I ceramic coated the wheels before they were fitted, this made them an absolute breeze to clean, Mixed up some Citrus Prewash a light spray over each wheel, I used a detail brush for the faces and rinsed off... peachy!!!

Now with the wheels and arches cleaned, its time for the paint.. this was the part I was most excited about, we all have our wash methods, My favourite methods are the 1bm Multi Mitt and Nbm multi mitt, Today I went with the 1bm, filled my detail bucket with Carbon Collective Lusso Shampoo, and 8 Noodle wash mitts and let them soak while the prewash was doing its thing on the paint. Rinsed off and ready to go... 1 mitt per panel to minimise and marring on the soft paint.
1 last rinse down then out with the car blower and my trusted Klin Duo drying towels.

VOILA!!!!!!

Magnificent, Lee, what a motor!! :D

What was used to tint rear lights ?

it was laquer mixed with a tiny amount of black... I can find out for certain if you want.... Atm I'm not sure if I've made the right choice with the tint, so may look to swap them out for original finished ones

thanks again for the comments, i will be doing a concluding right up soon with special mentions to certain individuals who have helped with the project, companies and suppliers who also deserve a mention due to their profession.

That makes sense as the aerodynamic holes would of been a pain with a film .

It's a conservative shade it's fine .

Darker looks like..

Anthracite colour for your wheels?

Ah I see, I did look into anthracite... but just preferred the satin black finish to go with the Bronze calipers,

Stunning
