C63 507 Model Register

There were allegedly 21 Estates registered but I only have details of 17 of them. One of them has now been exported to Hong Kong. I also know that 2 of the 17 have Quaife Diffs fitted and 2 have OEM Diffs.

This is the breakdown by colour

That is interesting - I didn't realise mine might be the only fire opal 507 estate in the UK!

This is probably the most stunning 507 I've seen - did you ever have issues with the paint?

I think the only thing Id change is the wheels to the black ones..! But personal preference. I love this car :D

Thanks! I did have paint issues, which MB Manchester sorted out with a full respray and also new black trim around the windscreen which had started to flake. The alloys had also corroded around the hub and they replaced those too.

Anyone get the LSD installed?

If so, did you tell the insurance company?

Wavetrac and yes I told them I have a transmission change which tends to have little to no effect on the premium.

Whilst it's an invisible modification if you end up stacking it in a powerslide then a savvy investigator might have a look...

Well the car at TownAndCountry sold unsurprisingly being the cheapest 507 I have ever seen. Anyone on here buy it?

There is now a grey 507 on eBay - unfortunately 90k miles and Cat N.

That didn't hang about at all.

@PhilLinda The CAT N car on the register?

Do we have LB63AMG on the register? It’s just been listed on AT.

Chaps, was the 507 a special run out model that could be ordered on the configurator? Or was it an optional extra like the PPP that you could add to the base C63?

I'd really like a 507 but I'm just trying to get my head around the prices and if it's worth the £10k premium over a standard car. It doesn't help that prices seem to be all over the place, like the coupe that just sold from Townandcountry.

I do wonder if the cars priced at £35k to £40k are selling or if it's sellers chancing their luck. That's W205 C63 S money now. If you look at Autotrader's suggested selling prices for the 507 they seem way off the actual listing prices.

I suppose it's an emotive subject on a thread specifically about 507s lol. But I'd be interested to hear from those of you who have been following the market for longer than I have and have actual experience of buying/selling a 507.

The prices aren't all over the place from what I can see, perhaps within a 10k price bracket, although the current cars on Autotrader are ALL 34-37K? There are cars with 90k on the clock and ones with 20K on the clock, ones with lots of options and ones with not so many. Most seem to range from 30-40k, 40k to me would be a pretty special car now, very low mileage, unmolested, full Mercedes history, well spec'd and no previous accident damage.

I was originally looking for mine with a budget of 30-33K around Jan this year ( I had one last year purchased in March 18 from Mercedes that cost me 37500 and wasn't immaculate but was in very good condition). After that one being returned to Mercedes in the June , I spent a further 6 months at the start of this year looking for mine and ended up paying nearer the 40K mark, I viewed 12 507's (between viewings for the original car I bought and the car I have now) and of those 12 only 3 had not had accident damage repairs. You get what you pay for although you might get a bargain - I suspect the townandcountry car was either not as perfect as described or just the fact it had VERY few options and 50K miles.

And just so you're aware, I would still purchase mine out of what's on offer in the current market, but it has only done 12K miles and had the exact spec I was after.

I also viewed 4 performance pack cars, and not one of those hadn't been painted down a rear quarter.

Good luck in your search.

The cars are selling. 507's are changing hands if you read this thread. I think the prices are pretty stable since last year. There was a car listed at 52k by a dealership earlier on in the year. It had a 3/4k on the clock.

I agree on it a decision now between C63S or a 507. I am a little shocked at the C63S prices to be fair. But I guess the facelift is out and these cars are coming to four years old now. I think that is ultimate that is personal preference. However, you must remember that the 507 was a limited stock run and is the closet you could get to a black series aesthetically and mechanically.

For me it came down to a few simple choices.
1. Do I want a turbo charged car or the last ever C class model that anyone is going to put the 6.2l engine in?
2. Having selected the 6.2l it was easy to pick the 507 over the other variants as it’s rarer and looks better (bonnet and wheels).
3. I wanted a LSD.
4. Then it was a case of - how much was a 2 year warranty worth over buying non approved.

Hi Rocky, I do have this car on the list. It's a bit of an odd one. 18" wheels painted black, de-chromed and no decals. Maybe someone will like it and restore it to the original look?
