C63 507 Model Register

Are 507 Estates like buses, nothing for ages then several arrive at the same time? ;) Is that three or 4 estates currently for sale?:dk:

Could well be 4:
@gedo car (white with silver wheels)
The one at GKirby (white with black wheels)
Ali's Tenorite Grey (maybe)
@Duncbo black with black wheels (maybe)

Not sure if the second 2 are officially for sale?

Hi Phil, mine is defo still for sale, mileage is 68,500 so I'm a realist - £32,500 ONO seems fair, when compared to the very low mileage examples it seems to be a bit of a bargain IMHO.
It's a good value way into decent 507 estate ownership & if any car could take a few hot, well maintained motorway miles then surely it has to be these.
Not advertised elsewhere as I don't really fancy the test pilots, time wasters & dreamers that come out of the woodwork when AT is involved.
Please see my previous post for spec & brief notes etc.
Contact [email protected] in the first instance please - thank-you.

What does “family owned” mean? Is it on a par with 4 “previous” owners, 2 of them ladies? (Saw that recently in an SLK)
Complete poppycock.
I let my eldest lad rag around in my Cupra one weekend, that’s not a good thing llol.
I don’t like this “previous owner” thing on adverts generally but that’s me probably being a miserable old git.
Anyway, looks nice in red, not convinced they’re worth 7k more than I paid for my PPP but each to their own.

Noticed that also Rocky today. Any idea of specs? Is it a member on here / on the register at all?

Are the alloys knackered? Can’t figure out if it’s the reflection with the small pics on my phone.

I think they are curbed in three places on a given wheel. The rest couldn’t work out. The prefer the black over the red as it seems the red cars do stick around a lot longer.

I'd assume it was moved around between the family in terms of owners.

I think the 507 edition was more in terms of RRP and at the time the PPP cars were no longer for sale. The difference is negligible. I think it was around 12k more for the 507 edition package (estimate)

In terms of PPP there was a similar car to yours sold last year for 40k without the two years warranty (I think the car had one years warranty) at a AMG specialist in West Midlands. I think you are a lucky man.

Wheels are not original finish and look like the lacquer on them is lifting now, tyres look a little aged and advert states 3 owners so not too bad for age.

It is a rare Fire Opal Red saloon but is likely to have paint issues in the future if not sorted already so that needs to be taken into account. I think it is a strong price but might sell if the spec is high, perhaps Phil can tell from plate?

Wheels are definitely in need of a refurb, what can you see that indicates not original factory finish? They look like std Himalaya Grey to me :dk:

I can’t see the milled outer rim I have on mine and you have on yours and the AMG logo looks wrong compared to mine. Perhaps the Himalaya Grey ones were slightly different but I thought all 507 rims were the same apart from choice of colour. Happy to be told otherwise though as every day is a school day :thumb:

The Himalaya Grey are slightly different , they are diamond cut and don’t have the milled lip as per the satin black 507 alloys. The design is essentially the same but slightly different finish.

Down to three - @HowardG and his mate James (two very nice chaps I must say) flew up to sunny Scotland this morning and he's now happily driving my 507 wagon back down South as we speak.

Enjoy your new car Howard!

Hi Ian

I’ve still got my satin black. Those were on a 507 at a dealership in Sheffield which I went to have a look at when we were over that way. After seeing them in the flesh on a white 507 I decided to stick with the black ones :thumb:

Interestingly those wheels had been “touched up” and relaquered in places rather than a full refurb, presumably to get rid of alloy “worm”.

Great to meet you yesterday George and thanks for the hospitality.

I very much enjoyed my 150 mile stint behind the wheel yesterday on the journey south, so much so I am now tempted to abandon my plan of a CLK55 and straight swap my C350 for a C63.

So if anybody has a C63 estate or saloon (507 or otherwise) with Distronic coming to the market, let me know.
