C63 507 Model Register

Could that be wrapped? It's well priced for the mileage. I can't help notice that 507 values are following that of the C63's; even the PP cars have dropped like bricks over the past 12 months. I viewed a PP saloon last year at £30k. I seen it disappear off the classifieds at £22.5K this month (40,000 miles).

Did any members on here purchase the 2013 Obsidian Black 507 saloon from Romans? Did you have this on the register PhilLinda?

Cant help but think good cars still fetch a premium, much like the PP cars. I actually have never seen a PP car in person that hasn’t had previous bodywork repairs. Most 507’s I’ve seen too have had bodywork.

Finding an all original, low mileage, low owner 507 with full Mercedes history is nearly impossible now, add to that a few desired options and you’ll be hard fetched to ever find one.

Hi Jeff, it's a lovely car you have. Congratulations. I don't I'm afraid. From the plate, it's a Scottish car; Aberdeen origin I think. My bets would be on someone in the Oil game.

PPP cars are holding their value tbf. I've seen a couple sell for 28+ with low miles and high spec. A lot of the PP cars have issues with service history. This is what I came across when viewing them. I sold a PP car last year for good money and it had a full-service history with 20k options. It only had 15k on the clock.

It is the same with the 507s. The Magno one had issues with the bumper paint I think. The person selling it via trade is the owner. The good cars sell.

We are coming to a place now where even the original alloys are hard to obtain on the cars due to refurbishment etc.

The black alloy wheels are the achilles heel on these cars. Mercedes changed the design when they put them on the E63 and AMG GT so they could be refurbished more easily. All alloy wheels need refurbishing eventually so not sure what we'll do.

Whoever finds a wheel specialist that can refurbish the satin black 507 alloys to an OEM finish gets a pint from me, collect in person in Beverley ;) I think the only way is to get them redone satin black and find a custom painter who can accurately mask up the rim and then spray the silver outline. It’s not clear how App Tech paint the alloys and they won’t say , I’ve asked. As you say no alloy lasts forever. Mine are in good condition with no kerbing but they have a few small stone chips and in a few years time will definitely need a refurb. Didn’t someone on here think they had found someone who could do the OEM finish?

Hi, just wondering what car you would buy after owning a 507 wagon, cause I’ve got the same car as you had and thought off selling but not tempted by much at the moment

Hi Steve,
Probably going to replace it with a proper garage queen to be honest. I've got an Abarth 595 for commuting and the 507 spent most of it's life in the garage.
Been thinking about an AMG GT or possibly a Boxster GTS if my funds can't stretch to the GT.

The silver estate is now on a private reg and has had a Quaife diff fitted and secondary decat at MSL. Steering wheel and gear selector gaitor recovered but with red stitching rather than white.

I saw this car at Goodwood FOS this year and spoke with the owner. When he bought it originally it had 18s and no side graphics, and he's since added the Himalaya alloys, rear privacy glass and the side graphics. There's a few photos of it on his Instagram in the before state and personally I really liked the stealth look. Are the 507 18" wheels the same as a regular C63 18" wheel does anybody know?

Anyway, he recently posted that it's for sale, but I've not seen any advert yet.

Wonder if this one is on the register...
Very optimistic on price. Without Registration number/date I can't be sure but mileage/specification/owners suggest it is E4 ASH/DX63 GHB.
If it is that one then it also has reversing camera which isn't mentioned in the Ad.

That is a dreadful advert; poorly worded and just does not come across as right. I might be doing the owner a disservice but given the rarity of these cars you would have thought they would have put together a decent advert to sell it.

IIRC there’s a thread on here where someone with 19” c63 alloys (the silver polished ones) had some resprayed rather than cut, to keep the logo and finish, and the company they eventually used done an amazing job with the paint that they still looked polished. Have tried to find the thread but I can’t remember who the OP was? They looked amazing

The problem with the black 507 alloys is the silver lip, which i believe is cut into the rim using a 5 Axis milling machine. Getting the silver lip on these is the hard part , hence the number which are simply painted all black.

That’s what I meant, whichever company this person used managed to supply a paint finish that had the appearance of a clean cut/polished face, which could be applied to a 507 outer rim / black and polished regular rim.

Spotted On C63 AMG UK Facebook page in Bradford WG14 DVM another red estate?

Phil Is this one on the list?

It has paint issues, accident damage and badly worn brakes....
