Although - didn't they make a LSR 'digger' not too long ago?

Anyway - we all know perfectly well that the fastest vehicles on earth (way faster than anything in F1, or a C63) are the Astravan diesel and the M-B Sprinter, which are both supersonic at sea level (well, on any motorway).

Sailing - now that is one hobby that is considerably more expensive than running an AMG, but just as much fun

Tell me about it.... I got out of big boat sailing and back into dinghies simply because it was MUCH more bang for the buck. Not mean but really begrudged the money.

That C63 is just about on the money for me in colour, style and lack of bling, but I have to buy a new motorhome first..........

To drop to the lowest gear available - Move the gearlever left and hold it there for about a second. The gearbox will drop to the lowest gear it can.

To revert to auto mode - Move the gearlever right and hold it there for about a second. The gearbox will go to the highest gear and will be back in auto mode (just what you wanted Jack).

Now, I can't remember if it also does this by pulling on the respective paddle and holding it for a second or so and as I currently don't own one I can't check!

Yes it does - or at least it does on the 7-gtronic on my rattly old DIESEL!

So I've just booked the car in for its first bit of work!!!!

940 miles in 10 days means that the car will need its diff oil changed mid-next week.
