C63 purchasing

Have a C63 Coupe - which Forums do you recommend where I can post without being told I've bought a lemon?

Congrats very nice be good to read up your thoughts on both cars.

I like the previous beast.. !! :D Always liked the GTR.. :)

Wowsers, why did you get rid of the Nissan? That looks like a serious weapon..

And welcome by the way...

My previous husband was also a GTR, got rid of him, his interior used to annoy the monkey's out of me (cheap looking)

Have heard this more than once now regarding the gtr trim cheap looking creaky etc not good for a 80k car.

Best buy a C63 with average looking squeaky trim then!:D

Must say, my old style C63 has not squeaked or rattled one bit in 2 years of ownership and plenty of miles. It only seems to be an issue on some of the new shape C Class.

The sad thing is though, unlike other brand fora I'm a member of I actually don't want to put up a post here talking about the car, what it feels like to drive and my thoughts and experiences because I just fear the sniping, bickering and general negativity that may very well end up manifesting itself and which I've seen on so many other threads regading the C63.

I bet the majority of non-AMG owners are as interested in AMG stuff as everything else MB, and some intend to experience AMG ownership in the future. There are many happy diesel owners but I doubt many have a religious commitment to it to the exclusion of other motoring options, or want to be labelled diesel-men.

So please share your enthusiasm and information, in the knowledge that for every prejudiced poster, there are many others who, though perhaps silent, are interested in what you have to share.

BTW, I thought this particular thread was doing OK, but I guess it shows that all the previous has made people understandably sensitive to it going the way of others.

my sqeaky rear brakes do annoy me though!

I seem to have got lucky with my coupe I havent heard so much as a squeek even going over rough surfaces:D

I love the roar when you turn it over,
The purr when its idle,
Stings like a bee when you need it!

Ha Ha - I scoped out the LV clobber as well!
A must for any C63 driver...

Would you two stop baiting each other... ;) :D

Hi all

I'm selling my 335 coupe soon which will be replaced with a c63 saloon and I have some questions about ownership, servicing and warranty.

I will most likely buy a 2010 c63 with the view of extending the warranty. Is this around the £1000 mark and are there any limitations, excesses or stipulations like getting dealer stamps?

I think the 3 bands of servicing are roughly £200, £300 if I supply oil but how much is the biggie 3rd band servicing please?

I assume the servicing bands cover everything that needs swapping at certain mileages and the only extras I would need to pay are if the car logs a fault or has worn parts etc?

Therefore is there anything i need to be aware of if I'm buying a car with 40k miles on it? I.e big service due or some type of fluid swap?

I gather the disks and pads are around £1,200 fitted, do they last around 40-50k?

Apart from that any tips on buying, I would probably be spending 32-36k I reckon, anything I should look out for? I understand some 08 cars had oil consumption issues, I assume this was fixed? Any other issues to be aware of and what extras are a must? I'm likely going for a black car with the light interior. Just on the lookout now, will be my first merc once the BMW goes

Thanks
What is the cost of leasing a new car? The lease rates are subsidized, so it might make sense to have a new one with warranty as opposed to a second hand one without.

Stop being contemptuous.
