C63 purchasing

My R32 was a supercharged 350bhp monster that could eat most cars for breakfast, sadly it got me in too much trouble! Have had 996 c4 cab, various e46 m3's including a m3 csl one of my fav cars of all time, more recently I've had an e90 335i m sport cab and a remapped Audi s3. Have to say Mercs have never floated my boat until recently :-) fell in love with the coupe when I first saw add on tv ❤

Lol, hope so or I might have to whack across the head with my LV handbag!

On a more serious note, I do have rear screeching brakes, car has 500miles on the clock , anyone come across this?

There's a few handbags get slung around on here :D.

A new thread might get you some answers.

i wasnt directing this at anyone in particular or it would just have the effect of starting a rumble
but i would suggest the bottom phrase might be worth a festive thought

trolls ambushing new and existing members actually damage this forum
i dont feel very comfortable these days posting info on new cars etc and its because of just a few of the "regulars"
trolling and baiting others
i think everyone knows a contentious post when they see one

I ve noticed the admins have removed a few posts of a baiting nature from this thread today
i hope that it can therefore allow this thread to remain open
far too many decent threads get closed without a normal conclusion

happy christmas war is over ...

I tried that but Simon couldn't lay off.

He's kiss and tell all the time. Throw in a contentious baiting post, then go pulling Admin apron strings.
That's the bit that gets me as he knows I don't do that.

They do look very nice, the first one I saw made me think about one for me. Definitely nicer than a 3 Series coupe.

Some great lease deals if you fancy one............

I'm not really a leasing kind of person and the rest of the range don't get the same "assistance" the 63 does, so it's less attractive to lease as opposed to purchase.
A coupe isn't really what I need at present, so would mean having another car as well.

A CLS 63 could be an interesting proposition though, the new one looks gorgeous. Still no fold down seats though.

BTW. The intention of your post wasn't missed, I just sidestepped it.

Nice.

I few of my friends are into their Jap cars.

Here's my friend's R34.

I have respect for the R35 (but I do agree with your previous comment about the interior!) but there is something about the 34 that will always stand out to me. It has great presence.

:)

When i first saw the coupe a year or so ago i thought it looked odd but it really grew on me to the extent i changed my saloon order to a coupe at the very last minute! Now i look at it and think it is way nicer than the competition from audi and bmw and i also think it will age well.

Nothing wrong with a bit of modesty ;), but pray, why did you post?

Not to bait and stir, surely... ;) :D

No - it was an attempt to inject some levity into proceedings hence the deliberate use of the ;)

:(

Is that strictly true ? Although the quantum of contribution/discount call it what you will isn't the same from what I've read aren't MB offering lots of support right across the range at present ?

Don't 63 models get a larger initial contribution? If you total up all the payments it appears though the 63 model payments don't cover depreciation, whereas all the other models they do.

I'm not up to date with the latest offers, but wasn't it the case that a 350cdi cost more to lease than a 63, which seems odd as it's only 2/3rd the list price and less than the depreciation on a 63.

Hence I think leasing a 63 is actually a good bet compared to outright purchase and as I advised the O/p, would get them a new car as opposed to a two year old one, so no risk.

Are the new model 63 still 6.2 atmo, or are they now 5.5 turbo?

It is still 6.2 na but the dealer said in June next year the manufacture of this engine was going to cease. Can anyone shed any light on this rumour?

Run them for longer to let them bed in.
Screeching brakes is down to the pad material being hard and the brake disk design acting like a bell due to the parking brake drum.

If they keep doing it get the dealer to grease the back of the pads with anti-squeal grease.

I've only had a few jap cars here and there for very short periods of time, enough to investigate what the fuss was all about! Tinny and unimpressive with tacky plastic interiors not for me as for my R35 owned it for a total of 21 days, it's interior really infuriated me! All plastic and not enough action. Not a fan of small engines that have to work too hard!
