Car Tax How Much Do You Pay

Mondy is D £140 or E £165, can't remember which one. Databases do vary I've noticed.

Depends on the exact model, but assuming it's a manual gearbox.

FORD
Mondeo, February 2004 Onwards
2.2 Duratorq TDCi Saloon M6 Diesel 161

This makes it a D.

It's the cost of fuel, depreciation, insurance, congestion charge, etc. that matter. £100 a year difference in road tax is neither here nor there, IMO. It certainly wouldn't remotely influence what vehicle I chose to drive.

As you say, its less than £2 a week........thats not even the price of a bottle of Bud in a London pub.
Inconsequential...........:)

C200K.......£205 = 1.1389 pence/cc.............I am being done over ! :(

Not really given that it manages to spew out as much as a larger engined car.

BTW, mine's £180 and the Wife's £140.

Some one we know purchased a Citroen C3 1.4HDi and was pleasantly surprised at the RFL being £35..

Did you know that methane is 23 times more harmful to the environment than CO2?
And do we see cows being taxed?

How much Road Tax do I pay?

Considering the state of our roads, too much!

I dont think Road Tax directly pays for roads... The councils are only given enough money to resurface the roads every 100 years I believe...

Your road tax mainly pays for Traffic Wardens to check that you have road tax...

So get rid of all livestock then, mind you we all emit methane as well so it's bye bye us as well.

Hardly reasonable to bring a foodsource into a debate about a luxury item such as a car.

It is if it has such a hugely harmful effect on the environment compared to cars.

I pay £300 for my Golf. :bannana:

And to reply to the tradeplates, very very strict guidelines about the use of them.

165 quid for me.....not too bad

£205 for Edna

Peanuts for the Ka - is it £125:confused: I dunno - I just pay it :D :D

But I agree with Will - the difference by and large when compared with the overall running costs is negligible.

I pay €1343/year in road tax.:( :(  , so UK£930/year at current exchange rates.

At least petrol is a bit cheaper though, usually around €1.15/litre so around UK£0.80/litre. Doesn't make me feel any better though.
