Caught Speeding?

As Steve has said, the curve would probably give erroneous results. Slip angles and such.

Only problem with slip angles etc is you would have to plead not guilty, and if you know you were speeding your already on a sticky wicket. The magistrates take a dim few of that and will ramp up any fine etc. Been there thought of that and after advise from a solicitor and and ex-policeman would advise going for honesty if caught. It would be a brave/rich man with a brilliant solicitor who thought otherwise.

Agree 100%, my comment was to suggest the Police simply wouldn't set-up where there could be a suggestion of inaccuracy.

I was 'joking' if you did get done for three figures....

:)

Hopefully nothing will come of it, however you have learnt a lesson, and looking at the layby if it were a artic pulling out you may have to break hard anyway so cruise next time :)

I did say, after I got banned for speeding last time, "never again", but, well, sometimes those horses just neigh so loudly .

Trouble is as you say, the right road. Press the go pedal even in our buses three figures doesn't take too long from the national speed limit (at least I think it doesn't obviously I have never tried)
:)

You should have taken your chance and floored it.

The Range Rover would probably have broken down by the end of the lay-by.

Driving fast is great fun. If you don't at least go as fast as your car or bike can go you've wasted your money.

I love Germany.

^ the quickest I have been in Germany was 153mph GPS in a 330Ci, that felt quick....not sure what the bus would do.

Even mormal motorway bends felt a bit hairy.. Going past other cars (two lane motorway) is scary.

Slow down to 100 and its like your doing 30

:)

Reckon a ton fifty. Shed was okay, cornering was two hands on the wheel stuff though. Still, I kept in touch with an M3 which was great.

A Porsche Turbo earlier that day was another matter, I was going 140mph and I didn't see which way it went. So fast its funny.

^ I had a go in Europe behind a M5.....

Traffic meant I was behind it, traffic moved and I heared the M5 drop some cogs...and off. Being half ready for this I had planted my size 11 to the carpet...

Bus did very well for about the first 10mph increment..... however I had to call the fun off.... I was hampered by being on holiday I have the bikes on the bike rack, roof box on the car and 4 up with a boot full of luggage.

I do like this sort of thing (when the car isn't loaded) in Europe, in a line of car and your all bobbing on.... as you say good fun.

Sad thing is in more recent years far more police on the europe roads also, and due to faimily and carrying all sorts I've slowed down.

I found at 135 I'd had enough. Lorry's were coming up quite fast enough at that point of time. My standard Autobahn speed is 120, but probably lower nowadays.

I think I'm getting old.
