Check that cheap cl600 !!!

Seems cheap but plenty better ones have gone through ebay in the last few months.
£2k more gets you a pretty decent one with 80k miles and a service history. Another good example here for similar money ... MERCEDES BENZ CL600 2dr AUTO, GREAT SPEC AND OPTION, AMG KIT | eBay

The one posted has no tax, short mot, no service history and looks tired to me.
All amazing value versus new though!

Does mileage really matter given age and engine size. it's not too many surely?

Less wear and tear on the interior helps?

Certainly is in a rush for "a quick sale"

He could only be bothered to wash half the car:doh:

we talking about a100k plus motor 11years ago and it's a 600 I can't remember that many on eBay for that price and age , and milage in a mercedes cl600 to me don't really matter I think who buy this car will have a bargain!

I once bought a clk320 convertible 2002 final edition model for 2k and sold it a year after for 3k never spent a penny in it that's what I call a bargain!!!:)

Exactly ... Common price so worth looking for a decent one with history etc.

I'd be concerned about running costs on one of these. Especially the one in the OP

no service history could mean that it's been clocked (I know this should be easy to spot on the MOT ' S) but I just got caught out with this when I bought a mini from an Asian lad in Hounslow, people have ways of coverng it up. The guy I bought from even had a directgov print out with services that were supposed to have been carried out at several garages and an Mot cert that didn't display the current mileage, it's gets better! When I contacted the mot people to clarify what mileage was she said the mileage had not been taken on the last mot and it was unrecorded (doesn't that make a mockery of the system)

Anyway back to the car.

Self leveling suspension on a 14 year old car that doesn't have history. I bet someone threw the history away so you couldn't see what has NOT been done to it.

£100k cars still have £100k running costs it's why they are so cheap second hand, the only people who want them can afford to buy them new, there is probably a huge repair bill looming and probably why this guy wants rid of it so quickly

All that said I love these cars and hope one day to get a 55k however I will only get one if I have 1000's saved to repair and maintain it.

Also that's a really bad colour combo in my opinion. I'm sure it looked great in 2000 but looks very dated now.

So it's a 2003 vehicle? Does that mean it's a 'cherished' plate that is on there?

For any CL especially the 600, history is crucial. You want to see if the ABC has had any work & also the coil packs. I'd also say you need your head examined if you want to look at a pre-facelift with that awful 5.8 litre engine. If you want a 600, aim for a well loved 5.5 BiTurbo, the same as if you want an AMG, look for a decent supercharged. In short I wouldn't consider the pre 2003's.

I think you guys are right when you say the facelift one they better than the others but they still have abc pumps and the rest of it , and if you consider to buy a car like this who cares about running cost???:)

After looking at his feedback regarding the very car that he is once again trying to sell just about sums up some of the perils of buying a car from eBay.
