I think I will put on a chameleon tint next week or the week after. View attachment 114436
Turned out to be the Flexi disc, was absolutely destroyed - there’s a picture of it further up.Try the rear gearbox mount, very easy and a common issue

It has a light coating on both the front and rear providing a light chameleon finish however I’m wanting a bit more on the front screen as since tinting the rear glass, the tint has emphasised the factory coating - it has more of the purple popping through now. Looks really good in person.Aren

You mad manLight tint the front screen
oooo its going to take something special to ever better that shape of E class imoView attachment 114453
After this type of finish on the screen.
To be fair i didn't mention anything about a "classic design" its way to current to be classed a classic, I'm just referring to the shape and my personal opinion, a facelift 212 e63 certainly isn't common at all and i don't see hundreds of them not sure where you are lol that shape yes it is common but not the flagship model, saying that though the Sierra cosworth's were everywhere back in the day and nothing to shout about but now look at themBeauty is in the eye of the beholder but an E class saloon is just a very nice, well proportioned, 3 box, 4 door taxi, hardly a truly classic design IMHO. Nothing stunningly special, just executed and I see hundreds of them every day, and never turn around or look twice at one. There are plenty of better shapes about.
Just my opinion, Matt
Sorry for the late reply!Car looks stunning!
I too have been thinking of getting the windscreen tinted on my M3 like you mentioned. I think it looks cool but at the same time I don't want to ruin it and make the car look cheap so I'm a bit confused what to do really.
How much have you been quoted? I got told it's between £150 - £200
W215 perhaps?oooo its going to take something special to ever better that shape of E class imo
I was referring to just the E class in general, all personal preference of courseW215 perhaps?
You are all wrong - W211/S211 was the best looking E class! Timeless and looked Just Right.I was referring to just the E class in general, all personal preference of course
I have to agree, perfect from every angle. The pictures below is mine from the day I bought it, sadly PX for my W213, do I prefer the W213 to the W211, although W213 is a pretty good looking car, but hand on heart the W211 looked better from the outside, and the W213 just shades it from the inside. As for the driving dynamics, can’t make my mind up, probably equal. You are all wrong - W211/S211 was the best looking E class! Timeless and looked Just Right.
I'd still have one now if there had been something suitable around - anybody have a good condition/fully loaded/reasonable mileage S211 to swap for my S204
Just came across pictures of your car.. look absolute stunning , and them alloys is the icing on top
