CL55 Komp for me ??

good to see a contrast colour combination .. many CL55s in black also have black interiors

With the C43 Black/Black and my S-Class similar to the CL which i like more.

Sean as you say they don't come up that often. It's funny i waited nearly two years to get that colour combination on the C43. Now i have gone to the complete opposite.

Very nice doubt it's as clean as your C43 though, it has a lot to live up to!
Good luck.

Looks a nice car, and great value. To think these were so expensive just a couple of years back.

On a side note, does this mean that lovely C43 of yours will be back on the market ;)

Has it had any warranty bodywork? you should be able to get the full history from the dealers sent out to confirm.

variety is the spice of life

Bootiful Peter! Looks a fantastic spec, but I would rather have less miles if it were me. Will compliment your 221 perfectly.

Amazing car! Go for it...

Which year is yours ? How long have you had it etc etc ? What has you CL been like ?

Yes David thats the only ? i have.

Well we are off to sunny Walsall later on this morning to view the CL55 that's Olly, Mrs C43AMG.
Rob (Bobby Dazzler) very kindly gave it the once over and reported back positively except for a couple of points. Boot lid fitting slightly low on the O/S and N/S Front door might need Re - Hanging.

Closing aids for the doors are they optional or standard on the CL ?

2003 (500bhp facelift but with CD based navigation).

Had it since summer 2008.

I bought mine with 2 year's Mercedes Approved Used Tier 1 warranty so I am covered for ALL mechanical failure and ALL electrical failure including wear and tear. That said, I have had no problems in 7,000 miles.

What's it like driving one of the most powerful and luxurious cars on the road?

Simply unbelievable. When moving through the city at low speeds then the car is perfectly relaxed and well behaved, when charging up and down mways and A roads then really nothing can beat it (in terms of performance and refinement). It's road presence is second only to Bentleys and Quattroportes.

I guess the achilles heel is B road point-to-point sprinting - which the CL doesn't do well. An M5 would be a better all rounder if this capability is needed.

I can't recommend this car highly enough. The endless acceleration is utterly adictive, as is the near silent high speed cruising and watching everything disappear out of the rear view mirror when required.

Real world flaws are few, however a couple that stand out are 1) the CD based navigation takes too long to recalc a route, which means if you miss a turn / make the wrong turn you lose the opportunity for a quick instruction to get back on route and by the time you get the new route you could be a few miles off course and 2) the ventilated and massaging seats are great as seats but the massage and ventilation functions are a waste of time.

Finally, I thought I would have loved to have had Distronic, but on this CL Distronic doesn't work under 20mph. I get the feeling that traditional cruise control is adequate for most motorway situations, but it is in low moving stop / start traffic that Distronic would come into it's own. I wont know for sure how I feel until I have tried it.
