CLK 220cdi engine light on loose tube on right side of engine

Help me please

Im really struggling with my CLK 220 CDI 55 plate done 81000 miles
it does not rev over 3000 if it does it stops at 4000 but this only happens for first few mins of engine being turned on
the engine light is on
there is a tube to the right of the engine inserted into nothing as know1 has no clue where it goes not even a Mercedes specialist mechanic.
all I can say is the tube does get over to where the turbo is and air filter on left side of engine
the car is very sluggish but obviously this is from the above faults i have changed EGR valve no change

any ides or help

I cant see anything from those pictures, can you get a better one?

The small c shape is the fuel filter.
