CLK cabrio opinions please

The 208 has a much better insulated and thicker roof than the 129 .. in addition to the glass window.

The SL was designed with the hardtop.

208 definitely much quieter than 129 and canvass roof.

Thank you for that, then that would have been the same as my Galaxy 500 I did not know that

I find the R129 pretty quiet with the hardtop on, a very relaxing motorway cruiser. As mentioned the soft top does let more noise through.

Having both a 129 and a 208 cabrio in my drive at the moment, all I can say is that the 208 is not far off a tin top 208 in terms of noise and there is far less wind noise than a 129.

My 208 320 Avantgarde Cabrio is for sale by the way.....80k, AMG's Quartz Blue with Orion Grey Leather

I've had a convertible for the past 6 years and would not go back to a non-convertible readily! The heaters are very effective and it is rarely cold in the cabin!! The roof comes of mine at every given opportunity.

Go for it and enjoy!

i'm with Pammy on this - topless at every possible occasion! :D

it's our 1st cabrio & i love, love, love it. :o
when the roof is up, i completely forget it's a soft top & i can't say i've noticed any scuttle shake.

definitely recommend having parktronic & heated seats.

back seat is only for small people tho'.

perhaps consider a weekend/extended test drive to make your mind up?

(you know you wanna :bannana: ;) )
