CLK Window Rattle - Help!

I slightly misled you - the screw is behind a plastic grommet.

It's the larger of these two.

There are actually four under my door. It's possible that there's another screw under one of the others.

Aha, now it makes sense! I've seen the plastic grommets, so now know what I need to look for. Will try tightening those, hope they're not adjustment bolts

Sorry for the delay - a bit of an update on the OP.

So I check all the bolts and things again underneath the grommets and whilst not "loose" one of then was tighten-able. So I tightened it up, and then methodically re-lubricated all the rubbers, specifically:

- The vertical rubber attached to the rear window which makes the seal with the front
- the rubber seal in the roof into which the windows slot.

I used Halfords Silicone Spray, sprayed onto a lint free cloth and then applied with a cloth getting right into the roof seal slot. Don't use grease spray near the car, for obvious (and messy) reasons.

The result of my efforts - I would say that 75% of the noises have gone. I'm a lot happier, the flapping seems to have diminished and a good dose of lubrication has softened up the rubbers so that everything seems a bit tighter and less squeaky.

The roof twitching seems to be the achilles heal of this car, but I think a degree of it is to be expected. Overall I'm much happier with it. It's not perfect but it's good enough now that I can't be bothered to devote more time chasing perfection.

The final issue to resolve is a minor rattle from behind the COMAND unit / heating controls. I'm going to remove the centre console trim and see if I can find whatever is loose. Once that is done, I'll be happy with the interior noises.
