Whether your afraid or not is irrelevant to me. You should think before you speak, and you clearly haven't done that here and we are all adults that are responsible for what we say, so you have nothing to fear.

If you must know, I am being seconded for a role with my company abroad, its been a very confusing time for me, but i've decided to stick with my decision and this is going to happen nearer the end of may. The only 'porky' I've told thus far is that i'm moving abroad, but to be honest, if I like it there I will stay there, but i'll see how it goes.

A collegue of mine where I work scrapped the whole passenger side panel with his car, but he owned up to it and it went through insurance.

How about a 209 500? Mega value for money and not slow either.

Oh dear... you've put a spin on my original thoughts... this is very tempting:

But its so far away.... both in distance and from my budget range (not too far off though!).

Can anyone tell me, in a nutshell the pro's & con's of the 209's? Do they rust like the 208's?

I have to agree with Olly, the 209 CLK500 are also an awful lot of car for the money. I saw this the other week (don't ask me why, but I found it still in my watch list..)

They can rust a bit like any of the recent MBs, a little round the arches and I have seen a bit on the boot lids before. Doesn't put me off them too much tbh though.
