Comand 2.0 Multimedia interface

Hmmm, I retro fitted a COMAND into my CLK and whilst I don't remember the detail, I'm sure I already have the 'C' plugs with several wires in them (going to CD changer, for example).
I guess I'll have to fiddle about and move wires from one plug housing to another, but your saying there's only three wires connecting to the interface??

Col

Yes :)

Hi Hugh,

I have just come across this thread wich looks very good. I have a CLS and I have been considering adding the multimedia device that can then be used along with an aftermarket DVB tuner (cost arount £40 on ebay). Can you please pm me the details so that i can watch your video please.

Many thanks in advance.

Vido.

Thanks for that : I seem to remember mention of a video type file you had on a GMAIL account - can this be accessed if I give you my personal em address ??

you know how it is - pictures is one thing, actually reading instructions is another

Cheers for your quick response last time tho eh !:)

Hi stuart, the video shows the archos being used, not the fitting.
Basically showing it in action.
Youre most welcome to seeing it though.

Im not sure about posting your email as a bot may get it ( we have colony of slurp spiders you know - resident, slurping away!)

OK - I hear what you say, no probs - I will do some more research and make the move ..

Thanks for the info ;)

The Email address thing is not a problem, I often have to ask for it, once I have it , then it can re removed in edit a few mins later

VIDO, I have one of those going spare, I will do a deal if you like.
The only thing to be aware of is that is you are intending using one of these on the move for rear screens then The signal is bad over about 55 MPH. Stationary it is perfect though.

I was talking about the Digi Tv at speed, not the Archos, with the Digi TV unless you pay good money for the Digituner then the signal processor does not cope over 55 MPH, I bought one and found out the hard way!

Sorry...gotcha, I did wonder how it worked when some people have trouble getting a good signal in a house., and the answer is, it doesn't really.

Can I also say I don't watch my archos when driving, but it is very good for mp3's.

I use an Archos as well, it is wired through to the rear screens for the kids
You know bu**ar me, I honestly never thought of that. Not for merc but for Mrs HJ MPV, instead of constantly changing dvds just video into the 2 rear screens.

Looks like Im getting the soldering iron out AGAIN!!

Glad to have been of some assistance, You wont need a soldering Iron, just a switching unit and a splitter. I have been doing a lot of thinking about this one!
