Merry Xmas to everybody!!

I have a C230 2005 SportsCoup (facelifted) with Comand aps (DVD based) factory installed.
After installing version 2007, 6 months ago, I realized that the navigation was not working properly. In fact it seems that it didnt take into consideration the traffic signs on the road, directing me to one way roads (only on the worng side of the traffic flaw :) ) .

2 weeks ago I tested my nav in Athens. It was a complete disaster. I used it as a map (which was not accurate either, but it was something) and didnt count on the instructions the lady was giving me.

Now, under the light of the new release -edition 2007/2008 -, I am wondering. Was it a problem of 2007 software release of it was my Comand aps which is in the need of a firmware update?? In fact, i am not sure if my dealer ever updated the head units software.

If this is the case, I think that my dealer should order the disc for the update. Since I dont trust him, could anyone give me the disc part number??

thank you in advance!!!

Merry Xmas and a happy new year to all of us!! :bannana:

It sounds like your unit could do with the AGW software update (came out early 06) - otherwise its a bit confused with left and right hand side - particularly with TMC traffic appearing on the wrong side of the road.
This can only be done by Star Diagnosis, and its done in the normal way that Star Diagnosis updates control units.
Of course there could have been issues with the maps also.

I remember one Teleatlas CD UK comand update that decided that every road that crossed a motorway was a junction, and it once brought me onto a motorway along an undocumented entrance - which presumably was for Police only - but there was no sign to say so, just found myself on the hard shoulder after asking it to divert me for a few miles. Shame I can't remember that route - it would be useful.

Cheers

Richard
