Hi All...
I currently own a 2005 E320 CDI with Comand APS [I believe NTG1] as standard.
The radio, CD changer, Nav and phone all work ok, it even has an iPhone AUX lead into the glovebox... all works ok..
But..
The DVD slot on the top will take DVDs and CDs and the screen shows the DVD icon but then I get a 'DVD error' message. That's all it says and then I can eject the disk.
I have managed to go into the engineer mode using the following;
Press SERV key, Press LANG soft key, Hold down 'Phone hang up' key, Hold down the small key between UP and Left on the directional key, Hold the AUDIO key...
And I have entered the Engineer screen but this doesn't have the DVD option screen in it..
I've read the errors and it appears there was a DVD jammed at some stage. I can also see the battery was disconnected, I assume for a hard reset??
I'm still thinking the DVD is ok but don't know how to get into the DVD engineer mode. Any ideas??
I can hear the disk start to turn before the DVD/CD error message, so I don't think there is still one in there as it wouldn't attempt to load but feel I do need to get the tray/laser back into sync..
Or I wonder if this has somehow been completely disabled by accident?
I believe the firmware is original if this helps..
Any help is greatly received... Thanks
