Comand Nav - DVD update

I too got the COMAND upgrade leaflet and it had a picture of a 221 system with 'Birds eye' mapping on the picture.
The version I have in my 221 dates from 2006 so this might be a useful upgrade.....but none of the dealers seem to be able to tell me the version it is, what it does or if it's availble:doh:
Anyone know?

You don't need a Navi DVD update to get bird's eye view, you have to have the Comand unit updated (could do both at the same time). It also gives the option to have ETA displayed on the main navi screen. Be careful if you have rear view camera, better to give good instructions to the workshop (I did but I still had to visit them twice, only the second time they took the instructions seriously).

Just in case it's of interest, on weighing up the advice decided not to go for the update.

Sat nav worked great in France, no problem navigating to less well known/smaller villages and via all types of roads.

Thanks for all the advice, saved me an expensive & unnecessary update:D:thumb:
