Convenience window opening is erratic

Hi

It has been sunny and quite warm for northern Norway the last few days, and I sometimes like to open the windows using the convenience function, but it doesn't always work. Wether I have the key 1" or 10" from the doorhandle doesn't matter. On my w210 it would work from 2-3 feet away without problems. Batteries in key is ok, and the key is pointed directly at the receiver...
Anyone got a clue??

Had the same problem..

Could it be interference from the bright sunlight? Each time it didn't work for me the IR sensor was facing the sun, otherwise worked fine?
