dell cpu cooler needed

what type of cooler do dell computers use,ive an intel p4 tower which keeps locking due to overheating so ive bought an arctic cooler 7 cooler,the footprint of the 4 fixing feet on the board is too small for the new cooler,is it a special cooler for the dell motherboards

with more investigation on the net dell motherboards use a different footprint for the cooler fixing points so an intel 775 cooler cant be used,cant find an adaptor bracket so an upgraded 100mm fan might be the only option.

Why not just replace the Fan, which is normally attached to the cooling vanes using self tappers.
I would also check any case cooling and chipset fans (if fitted) if you suspect overheating and don't forget the graphics card (if fitted).
