Detailing - approx costs?

I can also recommend Michael who did an amazing job on the CL.

The biking fraternity recommend ACF50 to protect it (the engine) during the winter

I've used it on car steel suspension parts and now more recently on my bike frame. It's no miracle product IMHO, but does a decent job of coating parts and offering a temporary protection layer against the elements, especially salted roads. Cars like your Morgan I'd hose the underbody down on a regular basis to remove the dirt that traps water. There's a 3-wheeler in my village and it sounds great each time it bases by :)

I'm having 4 post lifts installed at home so that I can get underneath the cars although the M3W won't be going out in anything resembling bad weather.

Mine has the sports exhaust fitted only to the Brooklands and it is indecently loud sounding just like a Harley. Makes my Termi piped Ducati sound rather muted!

That's very nice :thumb:

Any particular reason why you didn't go for a 2-post one?

Some of my cars are very low and the legs won't easily go under.

You're getting a new one installed or 2nd hand? 3 or single phase? C'mon, we need details ;)

Will the single rear wheel fall through the ramp?

New. Moveable. Single phase. And painted a lovely shade of blue. My best gadget is the underground garage.............. :)

Are you on Garage Journal by any chance? Would love to see pics.

I'm aware there are a few options as to levels of cleaning / restoration / repairation of paintwork etc, but does anyone have a guide as to ballpark costs for the various works?

I'm keen to maximise and protect my black SL, but I want to get a decent base detail (whatever that is) done professionally (dependant upon costs) and then I can work to maintain this periodically as necessary.

All help appreciated.

Thanks
Tim

Had my SLK 55 done by KDS detailing..... there work is incredible.. cant speak highly enough of them..

Have a look at what they achieved..

KDS Detailing | Mercedes SLK55 AMG

Hope this helps

Perhaps consider DIY??? You may have the swirl marks removed today but they'll be back tomorrow, even with being careful and using the 2 bucket wash method etc.

A Dewalt or Meguiars polisher isn't cheap, but you can use it as often as you like. Meguiars have some really good YouTube tutorials.
