differential leak, weep from PAS pump

Very interesting. Your £200 seems reasonable. Did you get yours repaired? Anybody any ideas on the worst case scenario (i.e. if you don't get it repaired)?
Not had repaired yet,I want some other work done in the next couple of weeks. So will first try and squeeze some money out of the warranty company for that little job, then have them both done at the same time.

Roger

I must get around to doing mine.

Do you have a list of the parts/gaskets used and the respective part numbers for each, that you could list on the forum.

If you have it would be useful to me and probably to others as well.

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards

You just need the three oil seals, one for each driveshaft and one for the pinnion. The rear plate is sealed with sealant, blue hylomar for the fully machined ones and orange Loctite for the unfinished (later) ones.

I had a MkIII Corniche that wept so much oil the entire underside from sump to diferential was coated in various grades of oil. Seeing it up on the ramp one day I commented on this and the reply was (wait for it...)
"Oh that's normal, it keeps them from rusting" (which it had!).
The mechanics were RR trained and man, it was another world.
